Add in the fact that most students are the grottiest people anyway and it’s a recipe for disaster
Obviously without wanting to stereotype all students, from my own university days I'd say these are the main points:
  • Lack of cleanliness in terms of themselves and their home,
  • Common procedure to share things,
  • Lots of alcohol involved,
  • Regular mayhem caused,
  • Sleeping around or at least lots of finger blasting or whatnot.
Based on all that, there is no wonder there have been spikes, and there'll continue to be more.

We have a government who killed 60,000 people in the spring by leaving the doors wide open to the virus.

You have 6x our population but only 3.5x the number of covid19 deaths.
The stats I looked at had US deaths per million at 631 and UK at 617. When battling a virus where keeping people separated appears to be everything, for a country with as much inherent social distance in our lives as the US to even be in the ballpark with European nations is pathetic.

You`re joking aren`t you, gone are the days of the Young Ones, it`s all Toni and Guy haircuts and D&G now.

Lets`s face it, if you`re never gonna pay your student loan back, you may as well kick the arse out of it lol

Oh I don't blame them.

But when I used to visit my mates who went to uni, I genuinely couldn't get over how messy some people are, and lazy.

I have the experience a bit now, living with three mates. Two of them have been to uni and you can very much tell.

Lazy scrotes.

A fairly large portion of students these days don't even have student loans due to the bank of mum and dad, they get the grant to cover tuition fees but parents pay the rest, you would be surprised. Gone are the days of pot noodles and toast it's all nando's and wagamama's 3 times a week, it's crazy the money some of them have, all got cars as well.

I blame the baby boomers for working hard and saving money, then giving it all to their kids and grandchildren......

When I was at uni I was so poor around early December I went to bed hungry and couldn’t stop thinking of all the pizza crusts I’d carelessly discarded over the past few months. Quit after first year to earn money haha.

I never went to uni I think my Invite was lost in the post but I left home at an early age and shared many flats in the 70s that would make the digs supplied by Rigsby in rising damp look like palaces to the extent of regular having to burn 4in slugs of the walls with lighter fuel but we did try to keep the places clean.
I have visited my son's flats at uni and I can confirm they really are scruffy idle toerags who have abosoluty no idea of domesticity

What are they going to do, send them home ?

So students locked down in their halls and classes put online.

So it was fine to get them to the halls so they paid their rent and then shut down the reason they are there to begin with?

Wish I was still a student
