My 15 year-old grandson lives with me and my wife (for reasons I will not go into). He had a sore throat on Monday and was sent home from school and we were told he could not return until he had passed a Covid test.

So half a dozen times on Monday I tried the NHS site - no luck. Same all through Tuesday.

Wednesday I decided to get on the site early, and bingo! 151 tests available. By the time I had finished filling in all the pages it was down to 138. Anyway got an appointment at a local drive-in that afternoon. Got the result that he was negative this afternoon, so back to school for him tomorrow.

So, it looks like each tranch of available appointments are loaded onto the Gov.uk site first thing every morning, so my advice would be to get on there early and hopefully you will get one.

Thanks for that, read elsewhere that either before 8 am and after 8 pm are the best times, managed to get one for Haydock this morning.

Oh but when I posted this month's ago you all jumped on me saying I was speaking out my arse, that's not true Dr kenshin...... Made a massive issue over me saying this. Sent me research to prove I was wrong when I was saying it wasn't genetics affecting bame patients.

I don't really think this is revelation you seem to think it is. You weren't a lone voice in saying this. It's been accepted for months.

Given the responses I got from saying it at the time then it's a relief that I can finally somewhat back it up.

Pages of people telling me how wrong I was rather than just accepting an alternate opinion, turning it into some major thing that there was no way in hell I my opinion was valid.

So there you go, Dr kenshin has evidence now lol

It's how some people act in these threads. Like a mob mentality anytime they disagree with a poster.

It's not just me neither like.

But given how people respond to some people in here, you would think, for example me in this case, was sprouting conspiracy theories. I mean I know one person showed me research proving I was wrong on this subject at the time.

Perhaps , certain posters in this thread need to wind it in when it comes to someone disagreeing with them on things....it's not wild theories being attacked , it's difference of opinion.
