Well our office doesn’t know if it should continue to have people in or send everyone home to WFH. They have 30% attendance in this office, should they send everyone home now or continue to work at a reduced rate?

I suspect a lot of offices are like this around the country.

Also, I play football every Wednesday 9-10pm. We’ve asked if the game will still be going ahead as they’re supposed to be closed at 10pm but they don’t know what to do either.

Just a few examples of them not being clear on things.

Well I mean the message was "if you can work from home, do it" so surely it's not complicated it's just up to your company to decide who can work from home and who will have to stay in the office.

It's not not being able to go to the match (or the pub, or the gym etc) which gets me, it's how any of the clubs/businesses etc affected get back up and running, in a time where it's so uncertain.

We can't live in fear for the rest of our lives, it's daft. So there has to be a plan to get out of it. That's on the governments and their advisors.

It's fairly clear that we cannot rely on the present government and its "advisor" to produce a well thought out plan.
We were in a parlous situation after 10 years of Tory misrule which added to and reinforced years of neo liberal policies.
Instead we have had a series of mixed messages and poorly thought out policy, along with a scandalous waste of public funds being channelled into incompetent firms owned by Tory donors and their mates.

I think its over the month mate; thats the thing that is confusing me a bit. That and the alarmist stuff Whitty was saying yesterday.

Rule of 6 applies to indoor sports including 5 a side football.

Not sure what is more stupid about that.

1. The fact it's 5 a side.
2. Having a game means there are 10 people which technically breaks the rule of 6.

How come there was no huge spike in cases10-14 days after these mass gatherings??

it’s almost like mass gatherings has no affect on the virus at all.

Because we came from a point when everyone was in lockdown beforehand. That meant there would be very few carriers in those crowds. If they did it now you'll see the difference almost immediately.
