CDC just advised against public gatherings over 50 people in the US for the next 8 weeks.

Not sure what's coming next in terms of work stoppages and what not.

Are you back to being an Everton fan again ?
You left to be a Liverpool fan for a while didn't you over that Kobe thread ?

This why I'm personally advocating eating them at this time. It's the only option. These slow moving, slimy genocidal maniacs kill hundreds of thousands a year.

By mass consumption their slow march of death will be halted, offsetting the loss of life by other means. It's either that or we go to plan B, which is testing "Snail herd Immunity" which would be controversial as the data isn't in yet.

Controversial but @Bruce Wayne has faith in our Chief Medical Officer to round up the human race in a herd to enable the virus to wipe us out so the oldies can carry the human torch of life onwards for at least 3-4 years.

We have to think it's at least worth a try with the snails. Just make sure we get the elderly snails away first.

Our planet is basically going to have to be like a reverse logan's run to survive. If you have even a slight appearance of youth and a relatively clean medical record then you need to be herded into the Corona machine immediately for the good of the nation.

If we get very lucky the virus might just stop killing people just long enough for all the Oldies to roam free like the film Cocoon until they are snuffed out by age and incontinence 3 months later.

Your post smacks of reverse ageism and Boomer apology. I can't condone any action that requires me to feel the world doesn't revolve around my personal media-sphere. The incontinence part I could get on board with, it could well indeed replace the Premier league. Var might be an issue.

Nope. Not in this thread.
And generally lets not start, please.

It's cool, it's fair by anyone.I expect it. I already said something about it in my first post back. I couldn't do it all lol with them. Couldn't even try.

Hope you all and your families are all healthy. I've been lurking since most of you know when, I've seen my mentions. It's all good.

Starting to really spread in my town the past week, no deaths thankfully. But you can feel the fear people have. I know I said somethings, but still can't root for LFC and still want all to stay safe. They don't mean much to most, but y'all in my prayers. It's life at the end of the day. My bosses brother lives on the otherside of the country by himself, is a flight attendant, and might have it. They're all understandably shooken up by it.

Hope all is well wherever you may live.

Testing will begin with 45 young, healthy volunteers with different doses of shots co-developed by NIH and Moderna Inc. There’s no chance participants could get infected from the shots, because they don’t contain the virus itself. The goal is purely to check that the vaccines show no worrisome side effects, setting the stage for larger tests.

You just know its going to be poor people desperate for money.

There's a lot of hate for people who have stockpiled in preparation for the virus. You know who the angry people are? People who didn't think to stockpile supplies quickly enough, and missed out. lol If you predict that people are going to stock up on supplies in order to avoid this virus, a virus that we don't completely understand yet, and you act to get ahead of the game by stockpiling first, then you're absolutely not an idiot nor do you lack CoMmOn SeNsE.

But if people were civil and not so selfish and didnt stockpile then you wouldnt have to predict the stockpiling because nobody would be doing it. Thats the point

Yes Norway!!

Are there people on this thread who can actually digest sweetcorn?

Nobody can as the body canmot break down the cellulose of the outher shell. Good way to test your digestive system though, see how fast they go through

Gotta be careful with that stockpiling, being prepared, rationale. Some folks round here are very much "down with this sort of thing" placard shaming.

Apparently the government knows exactly what they are doing and the final solution, sorry, I mean the deliberate intention to infect the populace is for our own good health.

It's completely reasonable to expect to show up at your supermarket and expect everything you want to be there. It's not entitled at all.

Additionally cashiers, or anybody stacking the shelves, delivery drivers, and people at the point of production should be happy with their minimum wage.

Getting sick isn't an option for them as we apparently have an endless supply of folks invested in the system.

Its not about everything we want or cashiers being sick. Its blatant stockpiling - it never happens any other time so its obvious what people are doing.

What if i told you that Steve Guttenberg has agreed to be our Oldie Officer.

He's very keen. It's mostly just wiping @Barnfred 55 s arse. He was less keen when i told him about the lack of toilet paper but he's such a pro.

Apart from that he will be listening to @joey55 s jokes and generally helping with the little things that they have difficulty with like changing the tv channel or making love to their wives.

True enough, the USA's view of 'Public Health' is an individual member of the public pays for his own.
Not collective ' Public Health'
The system looks after individuals. They have say enough ventilators that their experience tells them their individual members will require at any given time. They have no mandate, like 'Collective Public Health' to carry spare capacity to cover increases in demand.

The stockpiling is unhelpful, dangerous. People are scared however, actually very scared. It's human nature though, they're not stupid.

Can't wait to see Trumpys response this. He's always good for something to laugh at.
