Story of the day.

Lord bethell concerned that students in university will be spreading the virus through multiple measures including pubs and sex.

Apart from the obvious you are allowed to go the pub part .........

It's nice to know that our lord's are concerned about the sex lives of students now during a pandemic. Not seedy or creepy at all .......

You know what mate, I,ve got a son who’s we’ll in the at risk group and my missus works in a big hospital, so It’s not that I’m not aware of the risks and I don’t watch what I’m doing.

But at the same time I’m not going to hideaway and put my life on hold.

It’s just a matter of checks and balances and being sensible.

Well I'd hope you're extremely sensible with social distancing but not a lot are.

They should be closing pubs and bars first were drunk people are failing to follow any guidelines at all!!!:rant::rant:

But on that note I've just ordered a load more weights from fitness warehouse...
One of the plus points is that I've educated myself on fitness and nutrition far better than previously and started following some very good content through the necessity of lockdown. The frustration being I know I'm training much smarter at the gym now, its a selfish frustration if they close down but it will niggle at me.

In April/may I cleared out our spare bedroom that was packed with alsorts. Bits went the tip the rest got spread out around the house. The missus was made up so we could have a spare room for her sister to stay..

'Oh no!!'. I said. It's my gym. One rowing machine. Weights bench and several hundred pounds of weights later and I'm good to go!!
Some great concept2 sites and channels out there, even if that's not the rowing machine you are using it gives you loads of variation and I find the rowing machine to be a pretty injury free piece of kit

Hospital figures - 8 deaths were announced today, 9 down on yesterday and 10 down on last Thursday. All 8 were in English hospitals, 4 down on yesterday and 7 down on last week with all occurring in the past 10 days. The 7 day rolling average falls to 9.14

All settings - for the 28 day cut off, 14 deaths were announced today, 6 up on yesterday and one up on last Thursday. The 7 day rolling average rises slightly to 11.57

There has been no data recorded for the 60 day and Legacy cut offs as yet

I get mixed reports about the use of masks in England.
Are they mandatory in public indoor places (such as shops and supermarkets, rail and bus stations) and on public transport?.
I see some reports on here saying that nobody is using them, others say that they are widely used.
Here they are compulsary in the abovementioned circumstances (a fine on the spot of €135 for non compliance). Some of the more heavily populated areas demand the use of a mask in town centre streets and parks etc. as well.

We went to see today's stage of the Tour de France race pass in our region, we chose small town where the race went up a 4th category climb and we were pleasantly surprised to see that everybody that we could see in the crowd lining the road was wearing a mask.
This, outdoors, on a fine and warm (26°) afternoon must have beeen a good sight for health officials.

Have to wear them in shops, and public transport. My experience is 100% compliance.

Others elsewhere suggest not so great, and as this forum is majority Liverpool based, geography wise, and Liverpool is on the brink of special measures, I will let you draw your own conclusions.

almost 3K cases today in the UK, many places will be closed once again unfortunately. Same in rest of Europe. We are in for a colossal autumn.

Brace yourself.
