Just relating to Sharon's point. There are probably over a million workplaces in the UK, so what happens in one shouldn't dictate national policy. That's basic stuff rather than popular point scoring.

'Shouldn't' agreed, but unfortunately (in some instances) it does. A lot. From 'I spoke with Janet in my constituency..', to a tweet that's untrue and deleted but not before the press conveniently start pushing the narrative, and most of the pro-brexit dung us precisely like this isn't it?

Just went through Stanstead and no checks or anything were made. Just the usual passport scan, and that's it. Obviously I filled in the online form, but no one checked it at the airport. It will be interesting to see how closely I'm checked up on over the coming fortnight.

As an update, no communication as yet, either via phone or email. No idea what the frequency is supposed to be like.

Surprised at that. Only 77 cases mind you, out of a population of about 5 million. Scotland had harsher measures introduced earlier than we did so I’m expecting a large spike again here in a week or so.

Nothing to catch as far as I'm aware. Certainly don't have any symptoms. Just spoke to a client in Sweden who had been to Austria for holiday, which was enabled because he had to produce a clean test result. If only our government were capable of such seemingly obvious logic.

I’m fairly recently back from being abroad and was never contacted. It seems like they’re just making this up as they go along.

It does seem that way. Was talking to a bloke on the way back yesterday, and there are probably over 100,000 people that have holidayed in one of the newly disallowed places, and yet the government have had to let go a whole bunch of contact tracing people because they had nothing to do. It's all very Wizard of Oz and I wouldn't be at all surprised if I don't hear a peep from them over the next fortnight.

To be fair, Portugal requires you to print and complete a form and hand this to customs before entering and I, along with everyone else, wasn’t asked for it.

Aye, it's not the best approach given the seriousness of the situation

I also recently noted that in the video of that clown on the tube giving about abuse and getting KO'd, that the offending muppet and people around seemed to be ignoring the rule about wearing masks on public transport - the young lads who put the fool straight, aside.

I am fully resigned to the virus and life disruptions being around for a year or more from now as people and that includes our 'leaders' are either too stupid or too selfish to care.
