This is sophistry you're resorting to. Quarantining was always going to be a feature of foreign travel - it's been an instruction that has come up time after time since holidays abroad were sanctioned...and it was always the stated intent from the government that they'd enforce it as and when necessary.

As stated, you're not taking ownership of this outcome - an outcome that flowed from opening up the economy and travelling abroad and back again. You have no basis for insisting total compliance with quarantining. It's informal and when you hand people the opportunity to circulate again then you cant expect the type of discipline required to quarantine - certainly 100% compliance.

So by that logic everyone should be under house arrest until one is found? If that actually even happens?

The people who want to stay indoors until there is a vaccine are free to do so. But the rest of us will get on with our lives.

they shouldn’t- no one should be required to have medical treatment without their informed consent- but there should be a government scheme to get people vaccinated and there should be consequences (eg not being allowed in to the country) if you aren’t

After all the flu kills the old and sick every year without the vaccine. Much like covid-19 does.

Not getting the vaccine outside of the old and sick means you may get really ill but you recover. Just like covid-19.

So if one is mandatory for all then they all should be.



Oh and if only the old sick and vunerable got the vaccine then 'technically' the risk factor would drop by 99% for covid-19.

The Aussie PM mentioned the 'M' word, but had to back track on it, as it wasn't - at the moment anyway - strictly legal

Highly Recommended, advised etc, etc.
But if 90+% get the kiddies jabs and such, I have a feeling though, if Mandatory or Compulsory were mooted some of that 90+% would say No on principle.
