We've been having a spike in cases here in Ireland, likely due to targeted testing of everyone in a factory if 1 person tests positive.. but what's really interesting is the numbers of people who have no symptoms, a factory in Kildare had 80 positive cases and 77 had no symptoms, some of the workers that tested positive lived in a direct provision centre in Laois so they tested everyone there 25 positive and 25 without symptoms, a Mushroom company in Tipperary has expressed concern St the amount of asymptomatic employees after all employees had been tested.
If these levels of asymptomatic cases were here all along then it's likely a high % of the country has already been infected.

Officially covid accounts for about 50,000 of those but that could be a lot lower. That still leaves at least 10,000 excess deaths which could be evidence that lockdown lead to further deaths due to people not being able to get the treatment they needed.

I'm finding it difficult to see what point you're trying to make cos you're all over the shop.

1. You were celebrating the fact that the official number of official Covid deaths was dropped by 5,000, and cited it as proof that the media was previously overhyping the virus and it was nothing to worry about.
2. I mentioned that the excess deaths recorded in the UK over the same time was 60,000 (it's actually over 65,000 now)

So even going with my original quoted number of 60,000. Even subtracting the 10,000 people who I completely accept could have died from isolation. Even if we take both those statistics as fact, there has still been 50,000 excess deaths in the UK with 41,000 of those officially from Covid.

So my questions to you are:

• Did these 50,000 excess deaths just happen to coincide with the outbreak of a global pandemic that has seen the excess death of hundreds of thousands everywhere else in the world?
• Why do you even care about the 10,000 who have apparently died from isolation in the UK when you have already said the other 50,000

were people that were dying anyway.

When asked on the massive security breach on TalkTalk network that she "ran", the dolt had no idea, and could not respond intelligibility to any answer.
Failed abysmally, (being polite) at 'track & trace'
Left Uni to move from one ridiculously paid job (8.5 mil salary 2014) to another with no clue, no idea and no discernable talent at anything... Before somehow being rewarded for repeated failure by being promoted to the Upper Chamber to 'govern' us mere plebs.

Never has the mantra the Tory party trough swilling rats spout, been more appropriate to this vacuous venal waste of oxygen been more appropriate...

I've said it before mind you but what we don't get told is how many people are sick compared to how many people have covid-19 when these positive cases gets announced each day.

Granted that makes no difference if it was transmitted to someone vunerable but if you can pull 1000 cases a week and 90% at least are asymptomatic , then it paints a completely different picture of current scenarios when compared to 5 months ago when that was not the case.
