The UK has recorded its highest daily rise in coronavirus infections for two months, with government data showing a total of 1,441 new cases.

In the light of that, "businesses such as bowling alleys, soft play centres and casinos can now reopen in England as lockdown rules ease. More beauty treatments, small wedding receptions and live indoor performances can also resume."

Sleepwalking us in to a second wave, just like they did with the first wave.

Hospital figures - 6 is the announced total, down 2 on yesterday and down 10 on last Saturday. 4 were in English hospitals, down 4 on yesterday and down 11 on last week with all occurring in the past 10 days

Did you stay at the Carbis Bay Hotel? Very swanky. The beach there is fantastic too. Went there during our hot May and there was tons of jelly fish.

That reminds me of a story I was told by a mate of mine, in the police, when he went to the retirement party of a mate who was in the drug squad. Who owned his retired sniffer dog, and invited the headmaster of his local school. (both were governors).

He might have been winding me up, or repeating an urban myth, but funny if true.
