Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

Like you, I would need to check what to do if I had symptoms, but the other stuff, like the easy stuff (SD/mask/washing hands), is second nature now. Normal even.
A lot of people I know just don’t really care any more. Want to socialize indoors more, don’t always bring masks out with them, think the virus is basically gone already.

Yeah mate, doctors all over the world are just having a laugh
Not sure what your are on about there. But the facts point out to blanketing causes of death as Corona. Even as a time saver so as not having to perform an autopsy if a person had tested positive for Corona virus even months earlier. That's not exactly accurate information.

But facts are facts. Death caused by a car crash was not a death from Corona virus. This is what needs to be fixed that's all I'm saying.

Just cos a newspaper says something it doesn't make it a fact mate.

The Tory death cult are currently in whitewashing mode.

LOOK OVER THERE, MIGRANTS IN BOATS TRYING TO STEAL YOUR TAX

SPEND MONEY

EAT OUT

OH LOOK, A WAREHOUSE WENT BOOM

We are deep into the age of misinformation.

Is that the paid article by the Tory party?
@Prevenger17

Dr Susan Hopkins, PHE’s incident director, said the decision to count all those who have died who had a positive Covid-19 test at any point was to “ensure our data is as complete as possible”.

On 16 July, the Centre for Evidence Based Medicine published an article which warned that, under Public Health England’s (PHE) system of reporting deaths from coronavirus, a patient who tested positive for Covid-19 but was successfully treated in and discharged from hospital would still be counted as Covid-19 death “even if they had a heart attack or were run over by a bus three months later.”

It described this as a “statistical flaw that leads to an over-exaggeration of Covid-associated deaths

And there is this little gem.

Of those who died after 28 days, Covid-19 was stated as the main cause of death on the registration form for 47%.

Do you really believe the figures can't be wrong?

Aye but locking down over 4 cases for me is bonkers.

We would be in lockdown until 2027 if we did that.
I agree I don't really get the lockdowns surely it's more about numbers of people needing hospital treatment than people testing positive without any real symptoms.
Was there an increase in hospitalizations in Leicester before during and after there lockdown?
I don't even trust the tests they are doing to be accurate you can be sure many of the negative tests should have been positive and visa versa.

I know the figures are wrong.

My daughter works in a care home and my brother works for the NHS.

This thing isn't as bad as people like me will have you believe, it also isn't as harmless as people like you believe either.

I think the truth lies in the middle, but what we do know is that it kills people, lots and lots of people, how many we will never know.

Hospital figures - 9 is the announced total, 3 up on yesterday and 2 up on last Tuesday. 6 were in English hospitals, the same total as both yesterday and last week with 4 occurring in the past 10 days
