There are people all over the world meeting up in large groups to party without any of this social distancing and mask nonsense. Unless there is a global imposition of true facism then we're just gonna have to live with this. The masketeers will have to accept that loads of people are fed up, realise that the danger of death is absolutely miniscule and want their lives back.

I'm not so worried of dying from it because I probably won't. More worried of passing onto someone who is physically vulnerable already.
However, on the me myself and I front, i'm not too keen on the long term diagnosis for mnay survivor's, in particular and not exclusive, cardiac and cardiovascular being shot to pieces.

Fair enough as i said its not my line of business , I could change the date of an invoice and add a discount after a sale before updating to the system.
Our accountant would be none the wiser and not see card receipts just totals which didn't always tally with the transaction date.
You know the business I don't but I am sure there is a scam there somewhere.

Without a doubt....

It's just going to have to be accepted. People can judge their own behaviour and therefore risk.

I was naively hoping that the worst of this, might be behind us by now. But no this ain't going away anytime soon. 2020 has been the worst year of my lifetime, and this has been the worst summer of my life. Im too afraid to even travel to another part of Ireland, no hurling and gaelic football championships either. Normally around now i would be either praising and lamenting, the performances of Corks hurlers and footballers. Im too afraid to even use public transport even with a face mask. If i need to head into town, i just walk in and out instead. What i have been doing to get through this, is by watching old Everton Cork and Carlton games on youtube etc. A lot of book reading as well.

But im starting to crack a bit now. There was really bad news yesterday. Cases are starting to seriously rise in parts of Ireland, mainly in Kildare Laois and Offaly. Once the evenings start to darken, and winter arrives then things will get very bleak. Im just so desperate for things to get back to normal, so desperate for all this to be over, but this Covid 19 thing will be with us for quite a while yet. We just have to keep on going, until a vaccine arrives. But it ain't easy. I just see a dark few months ahead. This is a bleak time to be alive, but we've just got to keep on hoping for the best i guess.

Are you at higher risk mate? Do you have friends/family you trust who you can meet up with every now and then?

I'm a bit surprised at all the debate I'm still hearing about schools coming back.

The negatives of kids missing another term of school are enormous. It's absolutely imperative that kids get back into school or those already less well off will be completely left behind for good. We need far more cooperation because kids deserve it.

Spoke to my mate who`s a secondary school teacher and he said that they`ve been told that the kids will going back no matter what.

It`ll be interesting to see what happens with the kids whose parents are still too spooked to send them back ?

People are still looking for ideal solutions during a pandemic. There is no ideal solution. But the alternative is to keep kids out of school until we have large scale immunity in the community or a vaccine, and that could be a year or more away.

If a child has a medical issue then of course they shouldn't be forced to go back and they should have something put in place for them. But we can't just keep all schools shut indefinitely or we are telling kids their education isn't that important. In my experience, the vast majority of parents want their children to go back fully in September as well.
