Had my antibody test back and it's negative, which is interesting seeing as the wife's was positive.
Confused me.

So Mrs B had it, and has antibodies, yet you didnt catch it from her? Or you did, but dont have antibodies?

I may have dreamt it, and so be typing bollocks, but I think there's some talk amongst some boffins that some people might fight the infection off with T cells and so never have to produce antibodies, so add that to the list of possibilities.

I'll happily admit I have no idea what T cells are, but I suspect they're smaller than duracells.

Doesn`t sound like you`ve been in any pubs since they`ve re opened and are going by the hysteria the gutter press are trying to whip up ?

The pubs by me are safer ( imo ) than the supermarkets.

What`s not safe about that ?
That's pretty much the same as we had in Perth, it's not perfect but at least people were allowed to go out. Fortunately we have since moved on to the only restriction being a reduced capacity based on 2 square metres per person. All restrictions were meant to have been dropped a couple of weeks ago, but with Melbourne having a major spike, that has been put back until the middle of August

This is my choice, but I’m starting to wish that it wasn’t. I don’t feel qualified. I’ve been a superintendent for 20 years, so I guess I should be used to making decisions, but I keep getting lost in my head. I’ll be in my office looking at a blank computer screen, and then all of the sudden I realize a whole hour’s gone by. I’m worried. I’m worried about everything. Each possibility I come up with is a bad one.

The governor has told us we have to open our schools to students on August 17th, or else we miss out on five percent of our funding. I run a high-needs district in middle-of-nowhere Arizona. We’re 90 percent Hispanic and more than 90 percent free-and-reduced lunch. These kids need every dollar we can get. But covid is spreading all over this area and hitting my staff, and now it feels like there’s a gun to my head. I already lost one teacher to this virus. Do I risk opening back up even if it’s going to cost us more lives? Or do we run school remotely and end up depriving these kids?
That's a hell of a decision you've got on your hands. From afar, and without having any of the responsibilities for the wrong call, I would think that if you open up, and people die from Covid, there are zero options for bringing them back, but if you don't open, there are always other options for getting at least some of the money you desperately need.
