Long read but clear explanation of symptoms and impacts of the virus
"second" wave time.
I think its a bit OTT from the media tbh - still around 60-70 deaths on average a day its nowhere near the 800+ we were seeing in March/April.
Shove your PC,bring back the old days when we could abandon the weak, sick, old and disabled in forests, mother nature will sort it
You know why we saw 1000+ deaths a day in March/April?
Cos we did nothing.
Yo Bruce what you think to covid mate. You could argue that the burgeoning old folks home market is us abandoning our elderly.
And because we had no clue about the virus
No social distancing
No face masks in public
Hospitals not ready
Think its daft to suggest locking down again at this stage - you dont jump from 65 to 800+ deaths in the space of a few weeks with the current rules in place.
Although I was out for a few pints earlier and the local wetherspoons was pretty lax in terms of social distancing tbh - I actually got served at the bar when I thought it was meant to be all table service
I usually put one on herI wore a mask while i bummed your mum.
As far as I can see they haven't locked down again.
Just added some comical restrictions that nobody will follow anyway.
These alerts are nothing more than councils saying "Oi nobheads, wear a mask or something".
And we didn't jump from 65 to 800, we gradually went up week by week, currently we appear to be going down week by week, which is why they issue these warnings.
Yeah true mate - I've seen a few people on social media call for another full on lockdown but I dont think its feasible certainly not for more than 3-4 weeks.
The government wont be paying 80% furlough again thats for sure so I dont know how these people can afford to sit at home and not work.
The media for me are very much in the scaremongering stage again as they were around toilet roll gate - its easy to forget its been nearly a full month since pubs etc reopened and in that time we've had idiots at protest movements, on beaches, celebrating football teams in their thousands and its still below roughly 70 deaths a day.
Whilst it may go up in winter the colder weather mixed with no reason for fans to congregate in their thousands outside the stadiums may see numbers stagnate.
My missus is back in work tomorrow, so shes finally off the 80%, YAY, would just be our luck for everything to get shut down next week.
That’s you going straight to Greggs with the extra income.
Yo Bruce what you think to covid mate.
