I’m not too sure, I would think it possibly is some laggage, it’s a trend as of late that care homes and other settings double that of hospitals

It will take some sustained daily data I guess. Hopefully, enough folk are being sound.

So face maks will be compulsory even outside, while jogging? Science slowly dies..

And there's your 2 week lag from all the protests and everybody going the beach that everybody claimed wouldn't happen.

It takes a lot longer than a couple of weeks for the vast majority of people to die after they get infected mate. I think you're talking between four to six weeks on average ?

Plus, it looks like most of the deaths announced today will be from care homes, and no-one in a care home will have been down the beach or on a protest, and I doubt many of the staff did either.

It is so now in Catalonia, (except beaches) and sounds like the UK will follow suit.

Catalonia's on lockdown though, so you're comparing apples and pears.

The equivalent here would be making face coverings mandatory outside the home in Leicester.

Researchers found that the virus exacted a vastly steeper toll on people of color who were younger than 65. About 35 percent of Hispanic people who died of covid-19 were under 65, and about 29.5 percent of nonwhite, non-Hispanics who died were under 65. By comparison, 13.2 percent of deaths among white people were in those younger than 65.

The percentage of deaths among Hispanic and nonwhite people exceeded their representation in the U.S. population. That suggests rates of coronavirus transmission are higher among younger members of those groups than among their white counterparts and may reflect their greater presence in front-line jobs that don’t allow them to work from home. It could also suggest they are more likely to live in crowded or multigenerational homes where it is difficult to maintain social distancing.

Authorities on health disparities say racial differences arise from social and structural inequities that leave some racial and ethnic groups around the world acutely vulnerable to the most devastating effects of the coronavirus. Those differences have helped fuel protests for racial justice that have swept the nation.
Among those older than 65 who died of covid-19, nearly 41 percent were white and non-Hispanic, 21 percent were Hispanic and 32 percent were nonwhite and non-Hispanic. The CDC report found that diabetes was common among those younger than 65 who died. Nearly half of the deaths in people under 65 were in people with diabetes. Overall, 35 percent of patients under age 65 hospitalized with covid-19 had diabetes.

Re the spoons debate , I missed my edit times , having read my original post I do advocate if you can afford to go somewhere else “just go there “ . I perhaps should have said “think about going there “ . Genuinely I’m not trying to force anyone to do anything it was more an exacerbated comment than any form of attempt to organise a formal boycott .
Fair enough. I missed this post earlier. My only issue with your original post is that I thought you were trying to impose your views and standards on others. This answers that
