It is somewhat bewildering tbh. The wife had the antibody test yesterday, and the doctor was quite clear in that it was largely experimental at this stage, and they don't really know if it's reliable. Obviously as other parts of the world are a bit further along this path than the UK, it seems hard to believe that there isn't an antibody test somewhere that's reliable, yet it seems countries are doing everything themselves, which I can't fathom at all.

When you read it the rate of missed or potentially missed positive tests is definitely a concern , although I’m not sure I’m in a position to judge that against other tests .

No, I don't know either tbh, but it just seems peculiar that we're using a test that is essentially using early users as guinea pigs to help them understand whether it works or not. That in itself is not a problem at all, but surely that process must have been done already somewhere in the world, and a test that's further along would be out there.

How did she test, or aren't the results immediate

Terrible outlook for humanity. Politicians have been more concerned with their re-election chances than pursuing multinational cooperation.
