@Megatron there was a queue from the outside of Primark, right down Church Alley and it's starting to grow up School Lane towards the Post Office. K'in ell!

Well, it was that long at 7.30am this morning, so I can only imagine what it is like now.
Is it those who are disenfranchised from online purchases or what like?

They must be in a rush to bag a bargain like a vest top now being 90p from £1. Actually, are Primark doing discounts? Who knows...

My wife and I have a mutually supporting agreement when she wants to go into Primary, where I go to the Globe and drink beer and she's saved from my tuts etc.

After three months of no work or furlough with nothing to do day to day it doesn’t surprise me that there’s a big queue outside somewhere like Primark. A lot of people there probably made the journey in on the bus and by the time you get there you figure might as well queue up, the alternative is going home and sitting there again, like you have done for the past 12 weeks. With 2 metre social distancing the large queues are pretty inevitable for a place like Primark or Ikea, which are rammed at the best of times.

Also seems wrong to me to slate people for getting out there and spending money when we’ve just seen the economy absolutely tank and tens of thousands of jobs with it. I bet the people employed by Primark will be happy to have a job to go back to. 80% of a Primark wage wont be much.

Haha, good job. Wonder whether this translates proportionally to 'posh' high street brands?

Says lots about priority that this is allowed first before all family and friends, great bubbling indictment.

Not gonna lie, I find the idea of queuing up outside shops extremely weird. Especially the folk who do it at about 4.30am on Boxing Day.

But it's good that people are looking to go out and spend money. It's an unusual scenario for a recession where some people actually do have money waiting to be spent because their spending has reduced a lot during the lockdown. If people are able to spend it will save jobs and maybe things won't be just quite as terrible as I've thought.

A few dozen sessions with a therapist are long overdue to be honest. I've never in my life come across anyone so constantly miserable and angry (unless this is all @Old Blue 2 style tomfoolery and you're not 'really' miserable and angry but having a gay old time as you type out a constant stream of misery and anger). I hope to goodness there's something offline that brings you a bit of joy, as nothing seems to on here :(

Just wait until Baines starts against the RS.

You ain’t seen nothin yet lol
