I'd say the people who want lockdown to continue are those looking to protect their life and others.

You care for no one but yourself and this amazing life you apparently have things in desperate need of ticking off. Like moving out of your mum's garage.
I dont know why people always use the idea of someone that they disagree with having to live in some kind of unpleasant conditions at their mums. I usually look at who's doing the talking in such cases as these.

I have no problem with the petrified staying home and peering behind the curtains for as long as they want to. Likewise they should recognise my preferences.

They recognise they just think you're a selfish bellend.

For how long are you prepared to be locked up?

Everyone channels their thoughts based on their own circumstances mate. Its reasonably well known that I wont be going anywhere, other than the supermarket, for months, for example. Lockdown or no lockdown. Virus or no virus.

I guess if @davek is in a position both financially and job wise, secure, then he can take the stance he does cos he doesnt recognise that this is starting to hurt folk, (and UK Plc) hard.

And I can get your stance, which if I read it right, is loosen stuff, dont be a tit, and get some cash moving in the economy.

All 3 are valid, imo.

Until the virus has mutated to something weaker (which it will) and / or anti-virals are found that hand the vast majority of those vulnerable who catch it a very good chance of survival.

It's about discipline. Not profit. Of course this government dont do discipline, they only do profit. Ergo my request:

DONT GO TO THE SHOPS.

STAY AT HOME.

There's no pockets in a shroud as my old Nan used to say.

Just survive this thing. That is the priority. People will get by.

So potentially anything from 6 months to 6 years or more. For eternity if needs must. Meanwhile the vast majority of the population who are in fact not vulnerable must develop mental illnesses and watch our lives slide by due to lacking as you call it, 'discipline'.
