I don't really know if it's foresight or planning to know a lockdown is coming (when happening all over the world) and that my gym would be shutting lol

I don’t think everyone expected it to last , thought of the gym issue and had gyms as their thoughts people were in a general panic and toilet roll seemed to be the major concern for some reason. I had most of my stuff in And for the resistance bands but within a few days prices went up .

More evidence that loss of taste/smell is one of most reliable warning signs, especially among younger people. Wearing a mask seems to have provided higher protection than would have thought.

Participants reporting anosmia (loss of sense of smell) or ageusia (loss of sense of taste) had 10 times the odds of having infection, compared with those who did not.
...
Lower odds of infection were independently associated with self-report of wearing a face covering (55.8% versus 80.8%; OR = 0.3; 95% CI = 0.2–0.5),

That is very interesting. so anecdotally I know a few people who’ve had the covid and others who’ve had antibody test , several of the latter were adamant they’d had covid . Those who’ve been positive almost universally, certainly a significant proportion have suffered the smell taste symptoms. It interesting so see those stats back It up .

The UK doesn't do masks. A nation of Geordies proudly going bare-chested into an Arctic winter.

Its laziness, simple as.

There are 1000s are ways to stay fit and stay healthy and none of them involves a gym.

i’ve got stuff at home And in all honesty I’m probably ‘fitter ‘ or trimmer than when the gym was open . It took me a week /10 days to get a routine sorted but having a couple of bits of basic equipment Helped plus I hump Heavier stuff if I need to Every now and again . I was also carrying an injury When we lockdown so it was less of an issue . It’s deffo not keeping me awake at night that I can’t go .

that said for slightly different reasons I miss the routine of the gym and I’ll go as soon as it’s open . Like I say I know , through various groups , that to some people in all its forms training and specifically gym training can be So helpful to mental and physical health and recovery . I get some people think it’s ridiculous and I get people can do press ups at home or dips and ive got a whole routine now plus I’m not complaining. However for some it’s not just a case Of wanting to get massive .

So some people miss The gym , others Everton , some miss the pub , some 5 a side And some seeing their family or grandkids even though we all do no one really should Criticise anyone’s coping strategies for life even though to many of us those issues listed seem totally incomparable .
