" He (Shapps) says, overall, the number of care home deaths has been lower than in Europe".

The government wont release how many people have died in care homes on their official site. So how do they know deaths in UK care homes are lower than in Europe? Odd, they know more about European deaths in care homes than in this country. I thought they said international comparisons aren't helpful?

He probably meant the whole of Europe. In which case, he is probably correct.

We also had a lower number of deaths than the world did. Tit.

Tory murder death cult.

Can someone explain to me what this numbnuts Shapps means here:

"The Lancashire Evening Post asked Shapps about "local lockdowns" and whether it makes sense to empower local authorities to make their own decisions on coronavirus restrictions. Shapps says knowledge of a national picture is needed to make those decisions on restrictions."

FFS, I give up.

That's BS.

No way were Spain, France or Italy recording death rates 2 weeks ago, which is what the apparent time lag between the UK and those nations are.

We are being slaughtered here. The sick man of Europe.

Spain have been deleting numbers off their records

Please expand and tell me how much you think the Spanish death rate wpuld be compared to the Banana Republic....and bear in mind when you do that our your government fail to fully accept the number of Covid19 deaths that the ONS here do.

Apparently feeling better today and hay fever may even be the most likely culprit. He had a Covid test last night and as the range of symptoms shown can vary from none at all through extremely mild to far more serious, he'll have to self-isolate just in case he has it despite feeling better

Also and seriously too, there actually might be a problem with hey fever season upon us and a very large minority of annual sufferers getting symptoms which can easily be thought as possibles for something far more serious.

There's also a problem that others may think the worst as uncontrollable sneezing can spread alarm with the inevitable contagion risk - even if not real.

Have they thought of isolating all hay fever sufferers yet??
No.

I put the thread about it in here earlier Dave, the Spanish government are as bigger liars as Captain Dumbass and his cronies

I don’t know why you keep trusting in the ONS as their reports aren’t even accurate, their data goes as far as two weeks before each report comes out and doesn’t count deaths registered up to the weekend before each release. The 7 day rolling averages give a better indication of how things are

I can only assume he means that there may need to be a national consistent model for deciding how local lockdown is a) recognised b) escalated c) managed d) managed in different environments (care home vs schools vs trusts).

If it isn't that then Christ knows.
