Sorry but anyone defending him is on the sharp end of the worst type of tribalism politics and can be safely ignored.

Ironically those same people would have criticised the Corbyn zealots for the same thing.

Some things are just indefensible and you should put politics to one side and use your own brain instead of jumping automatically to whatever message your team is putting out. This is one of those things.

The problem Johnson has is that Cummings statement will be scrutinised endlessly. He's hoping the Mail are back on board if not then Cummings will be gone. He broke the law about driving with poor eye sight made worse by endangering a child. He broke the self isolation if someone is suspected of having the virus -did he phone 111 for advice when he got home to his sick wife?. That's before the rules, regulations and legislation is gone through.
