Politically I'm amazed he survived, but I think we need to move out of this phase.

As I said these aren't just random MPs here , these are the ones setting the rules. So of they aren't leading by example then their rules have no merit.

Even if we still follow them, doesn't change the fact that any of us can realistically do whatever they want now without represcussions because the ones in charge have done so.

We aren't in a monarchy or dictatorship, that lead by example very much has value in this country.

I think this is why so many people are outraged. Wouldn't you be better directing your energy at calling out hypocrisy than deciding to potential infect people?

...move on, and focus on the 63,000 innocent souls they've killed, and their new easing of lockdown without enough testing that will take thousands of more lives.

Nothing about left/right for me. I just don't like the idea you can say you saw someone driving far from their home and a police investigation will be opened. It just feels weird.

Mad how quickly the Tories have lost the room isn’t it? In just one bank holiday weekend the PM and prominent cabinet ministers have lost the tight grip they had on the nation. They have catastrophically misread the mood of the populous. It would be a splendid spectacle if it wasn’t for the horrifying fact that we need this shower to get us through this crisis.

I honestly think Boris is that deluded that he thought all he had to do was come out and front that daily update with chest puffed out swinging and we would all cower down in fear.

This is not a left/right issue


It is perfectly possible to care about more than one thing at a time. People are angry because there have been numerous examples of people making frankly incredible sacrifices to respect the guidance and regulations around lockdown and one of the people responsible for drafting them has, prima facie, decided he can do as he pleases even when he knows he's sick.

Is the bafflement and outrage at the insanity emenating from the federal government in the States just lefties moaning?

Well yeah tackling the virus going forward and getting things back to normal gradually is a lot more important than Cummings. Hes a nobody in reality. That's why I cant understand how theyve backed him.

That's not what he's saying. Throughout his exchange with you, he's merely counterposed what those in power have said with what they do in practice.

Cummings is a distraction (a huge turd of a distraction, granted, but a distraction nevertheless).

The Guardian and Mirror have wasted a lot of time and effort (and people's energy) on pursuing a story that led to no action. They've failed in their attempt to get a resignation and emboldened them instead. No smoking gun evidence for story number two = no cigar.

The major story is what it's always been: the continued mass slaughter of people on a daily basis; the continued threat to people who are encouraged to break out into the workplace; the continued lies over testing.
