Imagine sticking up for Dominic Cummings over this. It must make one feel slimy.

if I had covid, I wouldn’t go and visit my parents (I have a young child too). I wouldn’t want to risk their lives and the lives of others. I would self isolate. in fact, I don’t have covid and I made a decision not to do a similar thing despite an extremely difficult family situation (much worse than covid).

So I’ll ask again, if you had covid, would you drive to stay with your parents knowing that there is a possibility that you could infect them (and many others)?

So when you get sick in that scenario, who looks after her then? If you do get very sick and die, what do you think your kids and especially her do after that?

Losing a parent or grandparent is the worst thing most of us ever experience. When you think it’s your fault they died, it is going to be far worse.

It's not just about your life though is it...you putting yourself at unnecessary risk as a man, who by his own admission is self isolating on health grounds. If you get Coronavirus, and have to be admitted to hospital then you are drawing resource from a limited pool that others, who may not be in a position to choose what level of risk they expose themselves to, might need.

Because the rules don't apply to him and he needs to demonstrate emotional necessity as a means to defend Cummings, because there isn't any other defence.
