The problem with combining R ratios
We explore why you need to be extremely careful when combining the reproduction ratios of a disease in different settings, such as hospitals and the community.
Where is the solidarity exactly in actions which put teachers' needs, and the risks to themselves, ahead of the education of our children and the need for parents to get back to work and revive their income levels. The nurses and doctors haven't prioritised their own needs. Nor have every other sector where economic activity has been continued. Sorry JJ ,and Mozza, the profession has brought the criticism upon itself.
It's almost like you never actually read my post mate. The teachers aren't prioritising our own needs. We want the kids back as soon as possible when it's safe. But currently what they are suggesting isn't education and you're stupid if you think that's what any child is actually going to get. It will be impossible if they want all primary classes back before the summer holidays if it's like this. We are more concerned about all the children we teach and their families. As you know that's our job.Where is the solidarity exactly in actions which put teachers' needs, and the risks to themselves, ahead of the education of our children and the need for parents to get back to work and revive their income levels. Which evidence? The evidence suggests that many have not.

If the government/councils can somehow give us more space for classes then there won't be a problem but I seriously doubt that will happen. Yes hospitals have been built for this pandemic but think of the amount of schools there are, primary and secondary schools in one town never mind a major city to the few hospitals they have. Every school will have the same issue of space so that is a massive problem to sort out. Hardly the schools fault who have been under funded for years.
Like I said the schools have been waiting on the governments advice yet most of the time we have had barely any guidance whatsoever. Yet we have supposedly brought the blame on ourselves. Makes sense that.
