Apologies, I had forgotten which thread this was in....
there is no thread where saying tens of thousands of people dying is a perfect opportunity to wind up the snowflakes

It's not appropriate in any thread. It's pretty distasteful

Yes you're right. I should be mature enough to challenge someone to specifically name 3 people that died from Government policy.Grow up....
Faux outrage, and it is you calling people snowflakes....
Taxes will go up after this is over. It is inevitable as far as I can see because the country's debt will be enormous.
But there are tonnes of different ways to do it and I think they should hold off as long as possible.
It was pretty distasteful. And you should probably stop digging.Faux outrage, and it is you calling people snowflakes....
Piece by piece, the 2019 Labour manifesto is being rehabilitated.
Be alert. That'll do.Maybe they are following that common sense which Johnson Hancock Whitty used in avoiding contracting COVID19, what could possibly go wrong.
I’m in exactly the same situation ( due to go end of July) and I’ve decided to just lose the deposit rather than fight for a refund later. We've booked to go to Tenerife with Jet 2, but we've only actually paid £60 each for the deposits with the rest due in a few days time.
It's a decision now whether to just lose the deposits, which I am inclined to do, or pay up the full amount and take the chance or probably getting a refund.
Being told by a English Government whose own Prime Minster ignored Scientific advice shook hands with known people with COVID19, goes on to contract the same virus, by own admission nearly died, now he himself is declaring people should follow common sense. The height of English greatness, feeling very smug.Be alert. That'll do.
The Johnson Gang have given up on this. It's back to herd immunity without stating it - if it was ever dropped in the first place. They know it, and they also know that we know it.Being told by a English Government whose own Prime Minster ignored Scientific advice shook hands with known people with COVID19, goes on to contract the same virus, by own admission nearly died, now he himself is declaring people should follow common sense. The height of English greatness, feeling very smug.
Just glad I can hide behind Drakeford and distance myself from Johnson alert common sense.

Please stop talking about economics. You have absolutely no idea what you are on about.Yes. Had the virus not happened, the Remainers would by now be squealing and whinging about the ‘cliff edge’, ‘economic destruction’ ‘yada yada yada’ and putting out all of their manufactured faux outrage. However, now dealing with an actual real emergency with real and massive economic and health issues, the country really is having to face economic downturn. Deal or no deal, no one else will die as a result, no one will even notice any economic changes, and the Remainer media and champions will have no words of dire consequences that will in any way compare to where we are anyway. It will make no difference. We will be in an economic hole anyway, so then we will start building again but from a new base, under our own rules and laws, without asking permission of the other 27 and Brussels, we will be more competitive and will prosper faster.
The EU also know this and so there is now far more pressure upon them than there has ever been to get a deal sorted. But if they don’t, it won’t make a huge difference to the U.K. anyway. The timing is perfect...
