Tbh I dont see a problem with people travelling to the mountains, lakes, beaches etc. a problem tbh providing they social distance - its the idiots (largely young of high school/college age from what I've seen) who are the problem hanging around in large groups and not keeping distance.

Wait for the pictures tomorrow from the trains/buses/city centre streets. I expect it to be chaotic.

More than 6 million people are currently furloughed, so, unless they're just coming to the end of their furlough period, they won't be going straight back Millions more are working from home pretty successfully, so they won't be rushing back either

It could well be chaos, but I don't think it'll be as bad as you think, because it'll take time for companies to get up to speed with what they can do.

Yep.

No HR department is going to reach out to people on a Sunday night telling them to get in tomorrow.

To be fair, the NHS do suggest it might be a symptom

Drives me mad.

I can’t read the interesting info posted by people like @RAFUH or @LinekersLegs without 1 million posts that the tories are murdering us.

That's what I thought but a little confused by 'those who cannot work from home should return to work' part.

Essentially as an individual worker you are actively encouraged to return to your place of work if you cannot do so from home. However the rules around certain business being closed remains in place.

Self employed barbers are out of luck, basically.

Most companies I deal with are office based, 80% of their employees are WFH and have already been told they'll continue "as is" at least to the end of May and, more likely, the end of June.

Plainly manufacturing and construction will be different, and they probably make up about 8 million of the workforce, so 15 to 20%, and it's those people that the govt will want to get back to work first, because they can't WFH.

Thats strange because all the people I saw rushing to B&Q,running the offy, having barbecues and street parties all seem a lot older than high school
