So we've gone over 30k deaths today.

Is the lockdown announcement due tomorrow ?
Huge decisions coming up and I can see them ballsing it up.
From my own experience, my own concerns regarding how stringently people are adhering to social distancing continue to rise from day to day.

I'm not saying we're going to see a rise in deaths, although we may, but in South Liverpool I do suspect that there'll be at least the rate of decline will slow.
It amazes me how Sweden have had very little lockdown and kept the death rate low? most things open.....
You can't simply compare one nation's figures versus our own: their population density and social-habitats (distance naturally) play a huge part.

Difficult to really compare country to country without looking at a lot of things. But if you look at their Nordic neighbours and compare deaths per million they are not doing well. I know this is a very vague metric to compare but maybe gives some small insight.

Deaths per million:
Sweden - 330 (2,941 deaths, 8.9m pop)
Norway - 48 (216, 4.5m)
Denmark - 95 (506, 5.3m)
Finland - 49 (252, 5.2m)

I'd be a little less judgemental of other people's personal lives impacting on the professional if I had posted this.

That doesn’t say or confirm anything about me matey.

Thanks for taking the time and trouble to go searching for that though... you must think a lot about me.

The figures aren't shocking anyone anymore.
Saying we are over the peak was the end of lockdown for people in my opinion.

Thing is, there's still nowt open that wasn't two weeks ago.

It can only be people going back to work. If that's offices then the people in charge should be having to prove they can't have people working from home, imo.

What I dont get is we've been on lockdown for over 6 weeks so how are hundreds still being infected and dying every day still?

If its contamination on stuff like people touching items in the supermarkets etc. Then little we can do to stop that sadly.
