The narrative from the government has changed from ‘we’re in this together’ to ‘we can’t save every business and job’.

It was actually used at his first briefing way back when ... think the vid recording of this is still up on Youtube. Mind you, the fact that he felt the need to say this speaks volumes about either the intelligence of his target audience, or the govenment's view of them!

Figures dropping everywhere, are they a result of social distancing and lockdown or are "we" getting better at dealing with it medically or has it mutuated to a less deadly strain!!!

Find out soon.

One hypothesis put forward previously is that it has a ‘shelf life’ and could just dwindle away. Personally I think we will all end up catching it with a greater or lesser effect upon us......

As you say, nobody knows. My ‘guess’ would be August, but who knows....

I can see that Or Maybe September, I’m not discounting the Obvious health issues but much longer I’m not sure there will be a lot of places left to open.

be interested to read your thoughts of opinion actually pete . A lot of talk about restaurants and cafes but almost nothing about pubs . I think if you open the former the latter has to have consideration as well . Admittedly Probably with restrictions over numbers , table service and the like . Pubs were trusted to police the smoking ban and did so, I’d hope they might Be given similar respect .

I cannot see any reason why pubs should be treated differently to cafes and restaurant. People will be mingling and socialising and talking to staff. Restaurants and Costas are far busier than an awful lot of pubs anyway. But we were the first to close so expect to be the last to open.......

Here you go, Pete. I eagerly await your right stance to this.

As soon as he says we can open I’m more than happy for it to stop. I would be unhappy if it was stopped and we were still not allowed to open, but that is not what the article was suggesting.......

Just reported on local news Manchesters nightingale staying open for coronavirus patients so other hospitals can get back to normal asap. makes sense to me to try and keep covid patients separate as much as possible.

You would think, wouldn’t you......
