Good god. And people honestly have the cheek to suggest we shouldn't criticise the government's actions / failings here? Unbelievable.

Even Sturgeon recommending people wear face masks now yet BoJo and Co. are too scared to recommend - despite it being something that would help - as they know we wouldn't have enough to go around leading to more fingers pointed at them.

Shocking. Getting dragged into developing nations (3rd world) territory.

There was that app (GoodSAM) at the very beginning of this crisis that was used to register 500,000 or so people that supposedly volunteered, the app was put together for countries with no or little state services due to being 3rd world or war torn. That told me everything how this Government was not going to manage this crisis. A very sorry state this country is in.

The only people I'm seeing saying this are people who are prefacing their criticism of the government.

I haven't seen anyone with any sense say the government shouldn't be scrutinised and they are being scrutinised.

But journalists trying to get politicians to commit to dates of lifting lockdown isn't that, is it.

563 deaths excluding Scotland. 828 Tuesday last week.

The downward trend continues.

Is there also data for when those deaths were?

Just, for example, I think last Thursday or Friday was 800ish but like a big chunk of that was deaths from the first week of April.

Obviously it's not great but it's going down and that's positive.

Considering how Hancock didn’t know the questions from the public before they were asked, he was fortunate to have the answer already written down in his notes which he could read out.

The question was so specific, and would have been of concern to a huge number of folk in similar situations, that I am pretty sure the topic would have been selected, even if the actual question was "unknown".

Thought that yesterday, when stuttered and sputtered over his praise of a member of the public question, it was cringe... Wonder if people actually fall for it, I suppose they do!

I was being somewhat facetious, but very noticeable that he referred to his notes on the public question much more than on the journalists.

As you say, topic was selected and he was briefed for it, but then don’t make such a song and dance of pretending to be unsighted on it.
