Surely if you were sat in briefings you would know the current processes in place to import medical equipment from China?

If you dont then just say so.
Or I could quite easily find out by asking for the process or as anyone who has Google could attest; find it via a quick search, because its as I said previously, it's largely in the public domain.

So again, I'll pose the question which I already have: what relevance does the current process of procurement of ventilators have on UK preparedness in January, February or March?

All it does is indicate the Government still doesn't feel it has enough capacity.

Spot on. This from ITV news.

– BORDER FORCE OFFICER, SPEAKING ANONYMOUSLY

We're told you have to stay local but thousands of people are still flying into the country for thousands of miles away. And not getting tested or the workers having PPE.
1. There really aren’t, apart from repatriation flights. Most flights coming in are flying cargo in, which is being flown at a premium. Once repariates are in the country, they are under the exact same orders. These are the exact same people that ITV were screaming that it was unfair to leave behind at the start of this.

2. ‘Anonymous Border Guard’ Sounds like a completely made up source.

3. Do you not think other countries lockdowns might just be keeping people in their homes and stopping them from travelling?

4. what exactly is in place to form an effective quarantine at airports? Presumably one person on a plane = entire flight into quarantine.

Its not in the public domain. You dont know the processes.

Lets leave it there.

Oliver Dowden, Culture Secretary.

shamelessly pushing the ‘scientists’ under the bus this morning on GMTV.
As for the experts take the pay the pain. However, it does show how weak the leadership is. As leader you are supposed to take advice and formulate a course of coherent action, it's something that many other countries have managed, New Zealand, Germany South Korea Greece, the list goes on. All we seem to do is dumb down our best practices to reflect not being able to achieve them any more. They keep revising PPE use to reflect we have run out of many items. but we will bung in a clap, once a week.
