My missus (who is in local government, no insider stuff though) reckons the middle of May,

I suspect the 3 weeks issue is likely , maybe more obviously , the 3 weeks perhaps more likely especially when you read reports or hear accounts of cabinet infighting over how to end it and governmental economic concerns .

I heard a discussion on radio 5 this afternoon involving a Spectator reporter who was claiming the government are planning to try and change the language from Lockdown to restrictions as they’ve been surprised by the level of compliance and there are concerns of the return to normality when they’re lifted without the general easing of them first .

The funny thing is it wouldn't surprise me to see even more people comply with the term 'restrictions' rather than 'lockdown'

It’s been extended for 3 weeks in NI today so reckon the rest of the U.K. will follow suit.

can’t say too much but I work in civil service here and heard that Whitehall were surprised at what they saw as “over compliance” from some businesses such as McDonalds etc.

for the record I don’t blame them for shutting their doors. I wanted me and all my staff working from home before the call was made.

It's anecdotal, but speaking to my in-laws, none have received any guidance on how to do their masks properly (putting it on/off etc.). My step father does home food deliveries for the vulnerable, and has the same mask on all day. He also has a beard, so removes the mask frequently as he gets sweaty, and smokes about 20 a day, so removes it for cigarettes repeatedly. He doesn't see any problem in that.

Over Easter, mother and he had neighbours over several times, with the neighbours having had an extended family knees up in their weekend cottage (~50 people). Our grandpa went away to his weekend cottage with his partner, and aunt and uncle had their daughter and grandson over for Easter Sunday. There is a very real sense that they're convinced that a mask is the solution, so social distancing is scarcely mentioned. I posted a joke story at the start of the outbreak that some nudists were collared by the police back in March, but they were collared for not having a mask on, not for being in a large group.

It's quite miraculous that Czechs haven't had more cases to be honest, and they're acting very cocky about opening up gradually over the next 5 weeks. I hope pride doesn't come before a fall.

Have you explained it’s a face mask and not a cricket box.....

That's why our government won't recommend wearing them as they're worried about people getting hold of ones that are meant for NHS and care\frontline workers, creating even more shortage problems.

To be fair, they probably have a point judging by the amount of idiots stockpiling toilet paper.

Is there still A toilet paper issue or has that been flushed away.....
