Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

It's easy to associate (or confuse) the common symptoms of Covid-19 with other respiratory conditions: fever; headaches; throat aches or infections; fever et al.

In reality, they probably weren't Covid-19, yet rather a virus with similar symptoms (the common ones) but much less virulent in its transfer rate and/or lethality.

I felt crap a few weeks ago with a sore chest, coughing up crap, fever and the other symptoms, which took a good week to clear, but I've felt like that many times.
Totally agree with all you said, however the few people I know were floored and described it a flu without the longevity of such an illness. Two days on their back, then upto two weeks of moderate fatigue, certainly not just a run of the mill winter virus. Who knows and guess time will tell?

Just a hunch but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if we find out in months to come that this virus was global much earlier than we were lead to believe...

On a side note, people with a common cold now are quite understandably much more concerned than they would normally be.

Really scary listening to that, wish I hadn't.

There's no point in worrying about something that is beyond your control. Yellowstone could blow up tomorrow, an undetected asteroid could obliterate an entire city next week. If you worry about things too much then you'll just become a hermit.

My medical advice is to just sit back, relax and smoke a spliff.

Wonder how long it’s been doing the rounds, know quite a few people had all the symptoms in early January (none been abroad), quite ill with high temperatures for a week and then rough / fatigued for a couple of weeks with a cough and chest infection like symptoms, all based near / in Liverpool. All perfectly fine after a few weeks. Does make you wonder ...

A family member of mine was the same just after Christmas/New Year. They are usually quite robust and plough through colds and the like but this floored them.

Started with a fever, head ache and extreme tiredness and ended with shortness of breath and a rasping cough. Lasted for about 2 weeks.

sounds very similar to Covid19.

Am gunna make sure every weekend counts untill i get put under house arrest

Saying that, imagine someone in a jail gets it, would spread like wildfire

I think that is very likely to happen, but then a solar coronal mass ejection could occur a few days before and because we'd have been taken back to the stone age, we wouldn't know a thing lol
