imagine being given the biggest scoop of the week, sitting on it and then saying "well we knew all along" afterwards

no wonder that paper loses money
Why is Boris isolating in a jacket and formal shirt though ?
Trackie bottoms and a footy shirt surely is the dress code when ill, even for the prime minister.

TBF if that is the case, then this theory that it has spread far more than indicated would tend to make sense. It would leak out from London but it would pretty much spread to nearly everyone here as well, given the tube.

I think all countries have more cases then their published total or daily cases to be honest, only way to be 100% clear on the amount of cases anywhere is to do 100% testing.

Me and you could have the virus talking to each other now mate, we just don’t know, unless we take the test.

Our odds are 50/50 though. :)

Or they might have been behaving responsibly for once? They as in the mass media.

As Tories go I think he's not the worst and better than most. Yes he's a chancer but through this thing I think he's done well. The last thing I want is this thing to take a turn for the surreal and have a sitting PM die on the job and tip the place into blind panic. Dominic Raab for goodness sake?!?!

Just been told my dads neighbour has died from covid aged 46 he and his wife returned from Spain 2 weeks ago were she broke her leg so was in hospital over there and she was tested for covid while in hospital he wasn't tested.
He developed a cough 6 days ago and sent home from work at sainsbury's ,he was taken into hospital this morning and died 3 hours later ,so sad nice man aswell used to keep an eye on my dad who's 86 luckily dads not been out for 2 weeks so no contact frightening though.
He had no health issues either apart from being overweight .Take care everyone it frightens you wene its so close to home.

That's horrid. Sorry to hear it.

100% tons of people will have had it. Obviously doesn't mean we should be flouting guidelines or anything but it does mean the mortality rate isn't as high as the official figures suggest.

For example, I now know of six people who have shown symptoms and either have or are currently isolating. Only one of them - the COO of NHS walk-in centres for Yorkshire - has been tested.

Three of them are fully recovered. Only one of them had anything beyond a bad cough for a few days. This is where we're at without testing. Just can't be sure.

He’s not looked well though, in every picture he looks drained. We need his energy, personality and drive to get the country out of the economic carnage this will create, or the country really will be screwed. While those on the left are having a good laugh or just being disgusting, it’s those that the left would like us to believe they support who will find out the true cost if he doesn’t bounce back quickly.....

£10 he's already demised, and they're still working out who gets what cabinet-wise.

'Precautionary' my ass - the media love treating us like dijkheads.

On another note, I turned 31 today - I'll be very grateful to see 32 at this rate.

I agree completely with you Pete*

The responsibility argument flew out of the window the moment they said they knew about it all along; it just makes the whole week's reporting of the PM being on top of things, ready to come back with sleeves rolled up, in charge etc etc seem even more false than it did at the time.

People will accept he is ill; they will accept he is seriously ill. What they won't accept is being told for a week he is basically fine and then finding out that in fact he wasn't.
