I hope I am wrong, but I have major concerns for the South.
Large number of folks that believed Trump‘s early BS including governors.
Whole lot of ...gov‘ment can’t tell me what to do. I have rights...attitude.
High rates of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity - major risk factors besides age.
High rates of uninsured and underinsured.

when its all said and done the South is going to suffer the most.

Lower population density vs. all the structural disadvantages. My take would be a bit more nuanced - I think that the highest population density areas will have the worst go of it overall, but that the mini-outbreaks in more rural areas will be the most lethal. It's not just the risk factors, it's the availability and quality of care.

Close to home

UNCC's an interesting choice for it. Never been in their dorms, but if they're anything like the dorms in the other schools in the state that I've been in then that sounds decidedly suboptimal for the purpose.

They’re taking the whole campus as field hospital.

The dorms may be pods...central living space with 4-5 bedrooms off it. That is similar to intermediate level wards.

Could also be housing for staff.

Your posting has been excellent today. Thanks for the insight and updates.

If we could get any type of mask we would be doing well. This is going to set the hoarders into overdrive to buy anything that is a mask, resembles a mask and can be made into one.

Lobby hobby, Michael's and any other store off their ilk will be super busy tomorrow as will the likes of CVS
A friend with a sewing machine has said she’ll sew us a couple but until then guess we’ll try the no sew version!

I guess we will be doing the non sew one too haha! I wonder what would happen if we did venture out without one. Will they really enforce it. San Diegan's in general have been terrible with obeying the stay home order it's actually disgusting.

Talking to a mate from Mongolia last night. Hes convinced this came from a laboratory. Said the chinese have been eating bats for thousands of years and has never been a problem before.
