Are you saying the NHS give the Government the figures, and then the Government lie about the amount of people dying?

Or are you saying there are people dying that the Government know about, but the NHS dont?

No, I am saying that the NHS is compiling figures (almost certainly accurate figures) that are then qualified by things the government bring in - this requirement for a family to consent to their loved one being counted in the figures, for instance:



I am also saying there is fairly clear evidence that the Government or figures within it are lying, at least to political journalists who then put the rubbish out for us all to read.

English death toll rises by 367 to 1,651
A total of 1,651 people who have tested positive for coronavirus in England have died, up 367 from 1,284 on Monday, NHS England said.
NHS England said those who died were all in hospital and their ages ranged from 19 to 98. All but 28 of the patients had underlying health conditions. The 28 who did not were aged between 19 and 91.

NHS England release their figures for deaths. Those figures have been lower than what has actually happened.

The Government ask for consent? Or they ask the NHS to get consent before a death is included?

Either way, I would guess that the numbers are not massively affected anyrate. The trends are there for all to see. I just get dead annoyed when folk with an agenda, (not you), lob "WE ARE ALL BEING LIED TO" bollocks in this thread.

Specially when they have been here 10 minutes.
 
I posted this in the World Football Section.....Just had a letter from BUPA informing me that they have given all their doctors nurses and beds over to the NHS. This is the right thing to do, even though I am still paying for a service I can no longer use, it’s a national emergency after all. So why is it that all of these football clubs, with their doctors and medical facilities are allowed to keep them during this emergency ? Perhaps they too should all be handed over......

The families are asked to consent for the death to be part of the statistics released; this is not something that has ever been done before.

The government/NHS England don't ask for 'consent' when releasing figures for 'deaths due to'.

i think they should be . I currently can’t get my injury looked at by the nhs or privately , I completely understand that it , it’s just the nature of where we currently are in this crisis . We’re building hospitals , Spurs are using public funds to pay staff and There are top end medical facilities , equipment and you’d assume staff standing idle at football clubs . If it’s not on the radar you’d think it should be .
