My best mate is a West Ham fan, he was at the game today. According to him, Diouf is terrible. He said he might look good in highlights going forward but for 90 minutes he’s poor and to stay away from him. He said he costs you more goals than he creates goals.

I just can’t see how he’s worse than Myko. He looked good at afcon as well. Surely not?

Myko is probably the worst lb I’ve seen at this level consistently for a long long time.

Im just going off what my mate says and throughout the season hasn’t had glowing reports of him.

Myko is poor going forward but defensively he isn’t bad. Can’t just sign Diouf cos he’s good at going forward and pony defending. He just isn’t suited to the premier league and how it’s played in the modern era. Moyes doesn’t help either with the fact he doesn’t understand that having good full backs now help with creating and scoring goals

….i think i heard in commentary today, Tarkowski/Keane are the 6th best pairing in the league. Important to remember, Keane is only playing because of Branthwaite’s fragility.

I do tend to agree about the squad, though.

I worry if we will ever see the best of Jared because of his injuries. Which is very sad as we managed to tie down a fantastic young player to a good contract for the club.

If we’d somehow ground out 7/8th would peoples opinions have changed?

The squad would still be largely poor - the manager would just have more credit in the bank.

We do all deserve miles better, but it’s like we’ve had our leg amputated and we’re refusing to learn to walk again and just trying to go straight into running.

I expect as much as the rest of you but there’s also a fundamental reality that the squad isn’t good enough for that. You can lay some of that blame on Moyes but the recruitment has been terrible for as long as I can remember.

When we play a team which should have most of the ball he tends to be very good. Hes decent squad player but for games we should win he isn’t always that great.

Huge huge summer coming up recruitment wise here, last season we had a ridiculous amount to do and still failed (IMO) to hit the bare minimum.

We simply HAVE to sign two new starting full backs, we also can’t continue with the two up top. I think we are still far too short of pace out wide and also crying out for a number 6.

Huge amount to do again, and we can’t get it as wrong as we did last year. I think people’s views on this season have gotten a bit distorted from where we ended up at the turn of the year, yes it’s been a really poor run in but I would argue pound for pound our squad is still a long way away from most of the teams around us.

I’m sure our squad value was sitting around 15/16th at the start of this season. Moyes isn’t blameless here, I don’t see why he’s been so unwilling to rotate and give youngsters more game time but clearly he’s trying to win as many games as possible.

Cool heads needed among the fan base and recruitment team here though I’d argue - yes we want better than this season but let’s see where the squad is come the start of next season. If we haven’t addressed issues that have been there for literal years, then heads need to roll.

What he won't do is risk a full back until he 'trusts' them. More to the point, their defensive attributes. Quite whether said trust is justified is a other matter on sone of this seasons evidence

If we wanted longevity and foundations why did we leave a manager in place this season that loads of fans don't really like, and that others can't stand. Fighting an uphill battle when we are supposed to be progressing. It's not a good fit

Cool heads? how long have you watched Everton for, I am sick of us being absolutely awful whilst watching teams like Sunderland Bournemouth Brighton Make it look so easy to make europe and sign half decent players who play in their natural positions.
