Conspiracy theories

Killed by whom, Rob? Personally, I don't believe he would be killed by anyone because of what he says. Now you say David Icke is a 'halfwit', but this 'halfwit' has made millions by peddling his theories to the world. In my opinion though, his best stuff his when he talks about football; not conspiracies in football, just football in general, I find that the more interesting.
So he exposes the most powerful group who control the world in secret, and they just let him get on with it?

UUUGGGGGHHHHHHH! :(

I was speaking to a mate of mine who is a telecoms engineer about the 5g conspiracies going around at the moment "They said the same thing about 3g and 4g, and mobile phones, and WiFi internet, and microwave ovens, and DAB radio and..." on he went.

Far too many people using Facebook and and dodgy screen prints on WhatsApp as a news source. I'm constantly yelling in caps like a loony on my workmates WhatsApp group for them to Google this nonsense before posting it on ffs lol

Yep, the worst ones are those who preface it with "don't know if true or not, but just in case". Honestly, if you are not sure that what you are posting is completely made up or not, just don't post it. Or take the 30 seconds it takes to google it

Icke is a complete half-wit. Do you think for one second he would not have been killed if his theories about control were true?

Governments need to be challenged but living in fantasy land helps nobody
Its good that he's willing to enlighten everyone for free, though. He would just look like a knobhead exploiting the ignorant for his own personal gain if he was making money from his books and public appearances... oh, wait...

Yes, mate. This is just my thinking and opinion on such situations of course, but I would say that you always take the route that offers the lesser risk. Killing someone will always leave the risk of you being exposed. On the other hand, discrediting someone and having people believe the person is 'not right in the head' is not as risky.

The thing with David Icke is, he's already done a very good job of discrediting himself to start with. He may very well hit on something that is true, but it'll not really matter because he'll then go on about the moon being an alien spaceship manned by shapeshifting lizards who control our holographic reality. I've seen tweets of his where he says things like "Wake up World and listen to what I'm telling you!". etc. And a typical response will be something like "Yeah, you also told the World you were Jesus. You need your head tested mate".

I'm not that much of a fan of David Icke, although I do enjoy listening to the odd conspiracy theory. What I don't like, is when you get such people coming out with things like we shouldn't have our children vaccinated because it's all part of an agenda to manipulate the human race in some way or another.

My post is a bit long... sorry about that :)

David icke seems to just state lots of known facts to make him seem reliable then whacks in a load of made up stuff that people want to believe and then do. I've seen first hand how people can drive themselves crazy with this stuff. Even if were true about 5g killing everyone, what are you going to do about it

As with most of these things, the answer usually is somewhere in the middle.

The issue is now that these days you can become very rich if you have a a huge following on youtube.
Appealing to the type of braindead, morons and new age cranks that this type of 'don't trust the man, MAN!" nonsense appeals to, is the low hanging fruit of social media, sadly...
I don't trust the government at all. Mainly because they are proven liars. I also don't trust big corporations that put profit ahead of environment and human life. That doesn't mean I believe in reptilian leaders or that 5g will kill everyone. Does this make me a brain-dead moron? Surely it's better to question the ethics of the above rather than just accept everything you're fed. Particular by press coverage which obviously pushes it's own agenda. Or have I just totally misunderstood your point?

Yes, you've totally misunderstood my point ;)

I've said in this thread many times that I believe there are conspiracies. It's provable; See Edward Snowden, Cambridge Anylitica, Paradise Papers, Iran-Contra, Jimmy Saville/Cyrill Smith connections to the Royals and various police cover ups. You could even count the Hillsborough disaster cover up in there as well.

Where ever there are rich, powerful people, there will be those among them who will do heinous things to further/hold on to that power & influence...

There is, however, a line between things like this and the rampant lunacy of Flat/Hollow Earth, Reptilian shapeshifters controlling the earth (see David Icke and David Wilcock) I'd even put young Earth creationism in there as well.

The people that lap stuff like this up are the 'low hanging fruit' I talk about. I'f you are going along with this type of stuff (and far too many people do) then you are already primed for anti-vax conspiracies, climate denial, ancient aliens, healing crystals, astrology, psychic mediums, the illuminati and all that comes with that.

There are gradients of course, and it becomes more blurred at points - but you know what I mean! :)

Yeah I see. I just find it interesting how people choose their sources. So anything on mainstream news is a lie but they somehow decide to put all their faith in someone they've seen on you tube. I think they just see what they want to see. Like most people I guess. I mean who knows what's true in terms of the bigger picture?

Icke is a god amongst men and the only man willing to tell the truth of what is really going on.

It is good. His twaddle can be dangerous.

That 'tactic' was used against 'jesus christ' also, and I don't think Icke called himself jesus per se, think he said he had 'christ consciousness', two different things. The Greek pre-philosophers had 'Christ consciousness' when they would meditate/incubate.

Reckon it's quite safe to say that mainstream news is a propaganda tool with an agenda of serving the system. Even amongst all the guff out there it isn't difficult to see half truths and falsehoods presented as capitalist gospel.
