needs a loan deal at a championship club to develop for a season and we'll see how he is next season, but he definately needs another season before he's ready for our first team squad.

Wasn't particularly impressed. He usually plays on the wing for the academy side I think. Don't anticipate big things from him.

I love being proven wrong though.

Yep looked decent. Would be good playing on the last man for through balls.

He could do with a few streaks though.

Anyone know the position re his international status ? Has he played for anyone's underage teams yet ?

Well he was born in Liverpool, and with a name like his I'm guessing he has Scottish/Irish heritage but I can't find any indication he's represented any national side at any level.

From yesterdays match I liked what I saw. He had good pace and his runs were exceptional. His over the shoulder volley shows he has great confidence, but my only worry is his slight stature. I’m not so sure how he would do against some of the thugs in the EPL, such as the likes of John Terry, and Carrigher

Or Samba, Elokobi and half of the defenders in the lower-half of the table teams, who rely mostly on the back 4 consisting of big thug-like players.

Number of Players to have come through the Everton Youth System in the last 20 years to have made it at

1. Professional Club Level. (any)
2. Premier league Level.
3. International Level.

Rooney (only one on all 3), Jeffers (1/2/does one international game count?), Michael Ball (1/2), Cadamarteri (1)...
Probably more, but I'm just sleepy.

1. Professional Club Level. (any) - ? Cadamateri,
2. Premier league Level. - 5 Rooney, Jeffers, Osman, Hibbert, Ball
3. International Level - 1 (regular) Rooney - 3 (one off) Cadamateri, Jeffers, Ball

I'm going to work on this.

Thanks. I was thinking of dropping Trap a note to keep an eye on him...

If you mean released at stage of professional terms or after (ones that haven't been mentioned):

1. John Irving; Scott Spencer; Lee Molyneux; Darren Dennehy; Paddy Boyle; Jamie Jones; Alan Moogan; Anthony Gerrard; David Carney; Keith Southern; George Pilkington; Sean O'Hanlon; Steven Schumacher; Michael Symes; Mark Hughes
2. James Vaughan; John Ruddy

Still waiting: Turner; Kissock; Agard; Kinsella; Dobie

Toffeeweb have an incomplete record.

I think the Academy pride themselves on the numbers that make it as professionals elsewhere as well.

Did Richard Dunne come through our youth set up or did we just buy him young.

He'd tick all 3 boxes if so.

Not as fussed about making it in lower leagues

2. Premier league Level. - 11 Rooney, Jeffers, Osman, Hibbert, Ball, Unsworth, Dunne, Southern (for Blackpool last year), Anichebe, Vaughan, Rodwell
3. International Level - 2 (regular) Rooney, Dunne - 5 (one off) Jeffers, Ball, McCann, Unsworth, Anichebe

Think that's kind of it, unless you go back as far as people like Ebbrell and Stuart Barlow.
