I know everyone loves saying this at the moment but I think there have plenty of signs that it's not a mad shout to be honest. Obviously the way some people took the whole thing too literally in the first place is a factor, and the fact we haven't conceded anywhere near as many goals as we 'should' have done is influencing things aswell, but I can definitely see why that tag has been applied to him.

He's been excellent for us, and so has Tarkowski. They've both provided some leadership and backbone that we were lacking, but it does feel a little bit like some people are just skirting over some of the issues we've had defensively because they've ended up not being costly.
He’s played in a back 4 for England. He is less calamitous than Harry McGuire. Yes Pickford has been in great form which has certainly contributed to the lack of goals against. At the same time Tarkowski and Coady have gelled as a partnership so quickly that has to be respected.

Really pulled Wolves pants down on this, 4.5m is incredible fee!

Pretty surreal to be on the right end of a one sided transfer deal for once. Get it done a.s.a.p in January especially so he can play the return game in the season.

Wolves seem to be doing all they can to get relegated with their dealings lately.

It's true

That's the agreed buy option

We will have paid a loan fee and will be paying his wages in full though

It's quite shocking but in a good way for us. And he's only going to turn 30 next year and playing for national team.

I'm glad Coady is performing well, I hope he keeps the same performance (or better) until after the deal get permanent - you know our track record isn't always very good with loanee-turn-permanent players in recent years.

Don't think so, they shot themselves in the foot on this one did not need our help.

All credit to Threlwell.

Anyone any idea where abouts he was wandering around in that vid, where he grew up? Only found out when he joined that I went to the same schools as him and played for the same kids teams (but about 20 years before him).
