Purely hypothesising but, if we assume that Jarrad Branthwaite is returning and would likely form a partnership with James Tarkowski, that would leave us with Ben Godfrey and one of Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and possibly Conor Coady to give us four to choose from for the central defensive positions.I`d rather start looking at some cheap and young upcoming talent from the rest of the world than keep buying 30 year olds.....
Whispers Kev, just whispersJust a hunch or inside info?
Yes there is that scenario, I hope Keane goes but I don`t think there is anyway Dyche is letting him go, Holgate needs to go.... we don`t know what the club has planned or even made moves regarding CBs, it`s just a case of wait and wait I guess....Purely hypothesising but, if we assume that Jarrad Branthwaite is returning and would likely form a partnership with James Tarkowski, that would leave us with Ben Godfrey and one of Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and possibly Conor Coady to give us four to choose from for the central defensive positions.
Most on here would like to see Keane and Holgate moved on, so Coady - with his experience - might not be the worst idea, providing the price is less than the £4.5m previously mentioned and his wages aren't off the charts.
Yeah, i mean in theory Coady makes sense if he's on something like a Tarks deal - free transfer, wages not going to kill us. Definitely are going to need experienced CB cover in some way shape or form, and if the price was right we could do worse.Purely hypothesising but, if we assume that Jarrad Branthwaite is returning and would likely form a partnership with James Tarkowski, that would leave us with Ben Godfrey and one of Michael Keane, Mason Holgate and possibly Conor Coady to give us four to choose from for the central defensive positions.

I`ve heard this on a few podcasts and youtube videos, the thinking is let him go in the hope his price drops..... I can`t see us going back in for him if the club and the player has already announced the decision.Just a hunch or inside info?
Sounds about right. As a senior player he’d be on big wages, but guess Dyche wants to spend those wages and first team regulars. Clearly, we are skint….I think it was the right decision letting Coady go, nearly £5m plus wages for a 30 year old CB who will stunt the progress of Godfrey as a CB and Branthwaite plus I think if we have money to spend there is better out there, even on free transfers.
Certainly wouldn`t want Keane or Holgate, both need to be legged but I think Dyche might look at Tarky, Keane, Godfrey and Branthwaite as his 4 players for 2 CB positions.
If they are anything like The Yank at Chelsea we will probably pay 45m for him. Here’s my two cents for what it’s worth
Moshy in discussions with msp over investment / takeover or whatever right, lots of rumours they will become majority owner or something maybe there is a transfer embargo in place by msp until they have completed the takeover so that they then fully assess the situation at hand regarding finances. Unfortunately timing is bad for coady but maybe after msp have completed the deal and done their due diligence they go back to wolves and try and strike a deal for him.
Bang average is an upgrade. He is bang average and will only get worse.
Thank you but good riddance.
