Well well.

Bill has said in his SSN interview today that Moyes "already knows what next season's budget is".

Which begs the question: 'If he does know this why hasn't he signed already ?' I mean surely this is the central issue.

The only answer can be that he's off.

agreed he's off lets just hope Redcoat goes aswell.

Moyes is not holding the club to ransom or trying to be bigger than Everton - he is holding KENWRONG to ransom and bloody rightly so!!

Moyes wants to continue to build the club up as (unlike his Captain) finishing in the top 8 is not enough for Moyes - and rightly so!!

Imagine if Moyes had the mentality of Neville!!

I just hope that (somehow) the board manage to stump up enough transfer money to allow Moyes to change what he wants.

I'll tell you one thing though - if Moyes does leave, we're absolutely screwed and stuck with someone like Brian McDermott and will be back to relegation fodder.

Moyes HAS to keep pushing the club forward and I just hope to Allah that he gets his demands and stays.

Also, Kenwrong did an interview with Sky saying something basically how he hopes Moyes concludes "the 5 minutes he has eluded to for 6 months" implying that it is all Davids fault if he walks. It wasn't just that there were other little "digs" at Moyes - like Bill was trying to make himself look better if/when Moyes leaves. Well good luck with that tactic Billy-laaa... If Moyes walks we will all know it is because of Kenwright and the lack of commitment and faith in the club and Moyes to take it to the next level.

Think Kenwright knows that the only thing that has kept him from being lynch-mobbed in the last 10 years is Moyes's constant backing of the chairman and assuring the fans that he is the right man, so now Billy is trying to come out of this smelling of roses when in fact all he will do is smear himself in more 5hite

It's pathetic that we have a manager, who's been in place for 11 years and has had two contracts already, waiting to secure a third contract on the basis of a promise to allow him to use money he himself will generate through sale of existing squad members. He's asking for nothing more than that from what we can gather and still hasn't been given the nod. Surely anyone with a bit of self respect would tell them to work their contract and announce his departure after the last game of the season? Really he should have piped up a long time ago and made public his feelings about 13 years of these clowns with zero investment. He's chosen to play the game with them though, and now he's on the sharp end of it...it would appear.

But if you come out calling the board a bunch of tight fisted bar-stools then I doubt you would be in the job much longer.

Fact of life that (as much as EVERYONE wants to) you can't talk **** about your boss('s).

Only reason Moyes has grown some balls to play hardball with them is because he is in a real position of power to "politely" hold them to ransom and remind them that where we are now, as a club, is still nowhere near job done.

If the board don't/can't back Moyes with what we need to kick onto the next level then it really is time to march on The Old Lady with pitch-forks and flaming torches :)

But you cant keep your job forever...and certainly you shouldn't try and persevere under conditions you find impossible to work in. Many, many managers come to the conclusion that they have to speak out. It's not like it's an unheard of situation. And Moyes has the advantage over most other managers that he's more powerful than his board. He's practically unsackable.

Still he's remained silent though. That's unsupportable.

Get the feeling the board dont have enough faith in Moyes. They will be thinking what will we get back if we give Moyes 25 million? it wont win us the title, does not guarantee a CL place or a cup? so they will be thinking is 25 million worth the extra few points that is not guaranteed. Our board are taking Moyes for granted.

At least he is pushing it.

I dont see what he's pushing, tbf. If, as seems to be the case, he's looking to secure all incoming cash from player sales then that's not enough even if he does succeed on that. The move forward he's saying he's looking for from the platform we now have isn't going to be achieved with another £5M net spend this summer.

The way I see it is that David Moyes is THE most important person at Everton and he talks about doing the best thing for Everton, well I say he can use his power to place tremendous pressure on the baoird to get some outside investment in or to at least offer to generate cash in-house through a share issue or sort out a bond scheme or something of that nature.

That's his duty as a long serving manage who's earned the right to speak his mind. The fact he wont do that is an abdication of responsibility on his part. He needs to get up off the floor grubbing around and pleading for pennies from his own generated sales and start holding the feet of the board of directors to the fire.
