CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Just as Moyes has been good for the club - overall - these last 10 years let's not forget that the club has been very good for Moyes too. Without Kenwright Moyes would probably be kicking round League 1 or on one of those extended leaves the likes of Phil Brown go on. There have been loads of times in the last decade when Kenwright should have got rid. But no he's stuck by him through thick and thin. The very least Moyes should have done was sign a contract to guarentee the club a hefty compensation figure.

Apart from finishing 17th in his 2nd Season, name me 1 other time when "Kenwrong should have got rid".

ffs, thick and thin...please explain that one mate.

Right back at you. Don't you think Kenwright has had a role in this Moyes success story? There have been a number of times another chairman would likely have sacked him.

Ps you're not Joe Hunter are you?

Im still waiting for the "number of times", as said, name me ANY other time other than finishing 17th, when he "should" have been sacked.

A number is too much, for me.

Once and kenwright deserves credit for not doing it. He bought Moyes and he stuck with him through that third year and allowed him to bring in his guys in coaching, scouting etc so Moyes' successes are at least partly kenwright's successes and Moyes' failiures are at least partly Kenwright's failiures.

Moyes is paid a wage that no other club would give him, and has been giving a security and a control that no other club gives unsuccessful managers.

But Kenwright hasn't done this out of charity. You criticize kenwright by saying 'There have been loads of times in the last decade when Kenwright should have got rid.' but ultimately the football club has done quite well out of kenwright not doing so in terms of league position, at least, if not actual success.

Would we be in as healthy a position had moyes got the axe during the 17th season or after the losses to villarreal and dinamo? Kenwright thinks not, which is why he didn't do it. And purely in terms of league position, nobody else has done better on a budget like ours.

Playing Bill as a sentimental old fool who's given Moyes a job when everyone else would have sacked him and that without bill's foolish loyalty Moyes would be in league one is ridiculous hyperbole.

Kenwright has stuck with Moyes and pays him ridiculous money because with Moyes in the job the club doesn't get involved in relegation fights and the fans don't beat on his door. It's a situation where everyone wins. Apart from the fans, of course.

Moyes was saying Martinez would be a shrewd appointment.

This must make Goat feel like a mixed race kid in pre-riot toxteth.

I don't understand? Moyes is saying Martinez would be a shrewd appointment for whom?

Moyes would love it if that gimp martinez took over here and got us relegated.

Think of all the patronizing, 'look what a job Moyes did there' comments he'd get in the press.

You know this place will become virtually unusable if his replacement doesn't do as well, every thread is gonna turn into a "told you so" in every post regardless of what its actually about.

And probably the same if he does better to be fair.

Us mate, said he thinks he'd be a good fit for us or something like that and it'd be a shrewd appointment.

The start of the long goodbye perhaps??? Or he might have just been answering a question honestly. I didn't get the full interview TBH.
