CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

True, but he hasn't.

Unless we lose tomorrow night.

He'd still be in a job. No doubt in my mind. There is no way Everton will sack David Moyes. We could lose every game from now until the end of the season and he'd be safe, especially now that his contract is expiring.

"Safest job in world football" isn't just a throwaway sentence; it's completely 100% true.

And if he's leaving in the summer, even I think he should be allowed to leave with dignity after 10 years of service at the club. A loss to Oldham and a few more losses in the league and the season is dead anyway, I couldn't care less about results after that.

For what it's worth, I think we'll get to the semi final of the FA Cup this year at the very least.

Didn't say he'd be sacked mate, I was responding to the point about losing the fans.

Just what the forum needed, another Moyes thread
Do you not feel it is relevant then to discuss the fact that we could be on the verge of our first managerial change in 11 years ? I would say it is quite an important topic to discuss at length. If you are not bothered about the future of our great club then go to the ale house forum and chat about coronation street or something.

Sharp was asked about Moyes’ contract situation and told talkSPORT:

“He’s been at Everton for just over ten years and has been fantastic for us,” said the former Everton striker.

“There’s been a lot of speculation about his new contract, but as he quite rightly says, he will cross that bridge when he comes to it in the summer.

“He wants to concentrate between now and summer to get that first trophy on board, to get them in Europe.

“David is very strong minded and will probably want to sit down with the chairman and have some reassurances made of where the club is headed.

“I know the supporters will be unhappy at this moment in time but David will say he’s concentrating on the games in hand.”

Poor Sharpy will be made out to be a kopite now by ceratin sections of our fanbase not happy to have seen our manager gone.

How many times have we heard that and investment and a clear off-pitch plan is never forthcoming?

I have a question.

Has Moyes even been offered a new contract?

He said earlier in the season he'd sign if he thought it was affecting the team. From that I assume there's something to sign.

I've been focusing on his bad bits a lot lately. Tonk Oldham and there's a good chance we're going to Wembley and then it's anyone's.

If he is leaving I'd love it to be on an open top bus with the FA Cup. Despite his shortcomings he's recognized as one of the hardest working managers in the game and the vast majority of the time he carries himself with dignity. You get what you deserve in football but I think it'd be fitting if he left a proper mark on our history.

Good question and one that has gone under the radar.

I have heard from two sources both offer different answers. i still come back to this - has anyone heard from Bill becuase he is saying nothing and I would assume he is fine with the situation.
