Don't know about a statement signing, but another young very talented English player joining the club. Following on from the success of the Everton lads at the World Cup it has been a very positive few days for the club. Hopefully it shows other targets, Everton is a club whereby I can realise my potential, I'm sure the likes of Michael Keane could well follow suit. It's just a pity Sandro and Balde didn't commit. Koeman has spoken of players 27-29, but all 4 of those players are 24 and under and would have improved our starting 11 significantly.
