Some blues still thinking in pre Moshiri terms. Like it's life or death that our one signing has to single handedly lift the club.

The important thing now is building a squad that raises the bar. This lad might not be a starter, but if he pushes other players to produce their best, he's doing a job. 3 months in, the roles might reverse...

Spurs 5 years ago were signing every midfielder in sight. Not Chelski calibre, but good enough to add competition. It's mostly their home grown/youth buys that have now come through to shine, which is the way it could happen for us.

Unsworth blazed a trail for it, when he signed for Villa for a day and then jibbed them the day after, coming back to us

Ah, so there is some precedent. Helpful to know in general.

Thursday is a big match for this lad.

Davy Klaassen will leave this club an Everton legend.Mark my words.

Arent you the Ajax fan? I've seen a fair bit of them but just don't see how/why he's going to be 'ace' in the prem...

Not knocking him, just don't see the major 'ability' he has. If its being an average player who happens to score a lot of goals for us then fine...but without the goals he doesn't seem very 'ace'.

What's the rule on players being sold twice in one window?

Is there one?

David Unsworth came to us a week after going to Villa.

You're alright signing and selling players (unless on a transfer ban) but the rules have changed since Unsworth so no a player cant play for more than 2 clubs within 12months (or something similar)/

The absolute state of this. He hasn't played a proper match yet. I know some are on a wind up but some aren't.

Players may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play official matches for two clubs. As an exception to this rule, a player moving between two clubs belonging to associations with overlapping seasons (i.e. start of the season in summer/autumn as opposed to winter/spring) may be eligible to play in official matches for a third club during the relevant season, provided he has fully complied with his contractual obligations towards his previous clubs. Equally, the provisions relating to the registration periods (article 6) as well as to the minimum length of a contract (article 18 paragraph 2) must be respected.

4. Under all circumstances, due consideration must be given to the sporting integrity of the competition. In particular, a player may not play official matches for more than two clubs competing in the same national championship or cup during the same season, subject to stricter individual competition regulations of member associations.
