Computer games.

Storage is double is it? Not versed in what a terafloppy [Poor language removed] is tbh. It's better just to have it when a day comes when 4ks are getting giving away. It's my 3rd ps4 so what's point in not getting the best beefed one. Some games that performed bad in frame rates much improved o hear? Like it has a boost mode or something.

Dunno mate. I put a 2tb wotsit in mine anyway.

I was the same as you. My old PS4 died so got the pro as I’ll probs get a better tv one day so future proofing a bit.

I dunno about stuff like the boost mode...but I have heard of it. Games look ace anyway.

Ps4 has way too many good exclusives and more that I'm looking forward to. I've a [Poor language removed] load ps4 games as is. And Death Stranding!

I'd swerve the pro then...not really that worth it if you can't push the pixels properly, as there is a nice difference, but that's just my opinion. I have both (PS4/XBO) but only because there was a nice discount on the Fallout 76 XBO bundle recently as the game turned out so crap so I guess they wanted to clear out stock.

Satisfactory enters early access in under an hour. Its somewhere between Minecraft and Factorio but with good graphics. You make loads of automated systems and unlock technologies on an alien world and continue automating and upscaling your processes. I think it has incredible potential.

On Friday: Sekiro. My inner masochist cannot wait.
Just watched a video of that. Looks pretty cool. Won't be buying it for a good while though as I have too many games already.

You’re playing the game wrong if you keep running out of bullets, I haven’t run out of any any bullets and I’m playing on the hardest difficulty setting which has the least amount of ammo. It’s pretty much impossible to run out of bullets infact as you can constantly craft bullets for the pellet style gun out of any scrap you find in the game world. I think you need to pay attention more because the nonsensical stuf you mention is the stuff you use to upgrade weapons and craft bulllets...

Also bad graphics ? It’s the most graphically advanced game on the market. It’s absolutely jaw dropping.

Most of the stuff you listed is positive, it’s not a casual shooter mate... it’s a hardcore shooter. You bought a game expecting it to be the oppposite of what it is. It’s the same as the previous two games, resource limited.

Voice acting is a bit hammy though I’ll admit.

Can you craft them on the go? Yeah i can see how playing on hard is easy.. theres not much to it tbf. The missions are boring and all the best bits are cut scenes.

Dont agree about graphics. I put on Red Dead for a bit after and that is just gorgeous. Lush, deep colours and epic sunlight effects with miles of vistas. Metro was too dark I couldn’t see anything.

Didn’t play the other two games and wasn’t really expecting anything... i kind of figured the gaming world had moved on from closed in maze types and open world was the thing. You can still love it, I just thought it was a poor effort compared to its contemporaries.

Yes, as well med kits, air filters etc

Best bits are cut scenes ? How far have you got into this game because it doesn't have many cut scenes and the ones it did have I can't even remember.

Red Deads a very pretty game but from technical perspective it's not on same level as Metro. I can't speak for console version as I've not seen it, they are always downgraded compared to the PC versions though. PC version is the absolute benchmark for graphics at the moment.

With regard to Metro if you literally can't see anything adjust your gamma settings. The lighting is fine for me, in-fact the use of lighting to create suspense and fear is probably one of the standout aspects of the game. There would be no fear if you had unlimited ammo and could see into every single shadow.

Should probably do some research before buying as it was never marketed as open world and neither of the previous 2 games were either, not everyone likes open world games, they often lack focus and I'm personally bored to tears of travelling from point to point just do some generic as feck mission. Open world games were exciting about 10 years ago, now they just bore me to tears most of the time.

I believe the pro has an extra 1GB of RAM which makes it a little better at handling the bigger games such as Red Dead. I wish I’d gone for the pro but I didn’t realise just how cheap 4K TVs were so I didn’t. Now I have a 4K TV the standard PS4 looks great but it bugs me occasionally knowing I could have it slightly better.

Trade in your base and go for a second hand pro. Maybe throw a game or two I should work out fine for you

Google Stadia

Thoughts?

It depends on game selection and service stability.

If it gets it right, consoles can't compete with it.

It's weird that it's both a new idea and a very old one. The SEGA Channel in the 90s absolutely nailed the same thing.

State of that controller though.

Yeah, it will hopefully be the end of consoles as we know them, but I can't see it making any difference to PC gaming.
