Computer games.

So, after playing more Battlefront 2 and being sick to death of the two main modes (Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault) and their terrible maps, I highly suggest anyone playing to try out Strike. Its 8 vs 8 which means individual skill plays a much bigger part and there's no 'farming' like what happens in the main two modes. You never get spawn killed by someone who's spent all game in a fighter, and you never get swept aside by a Hero unit. Spawn points are fixed, with maps just the right size for the player count meaning the combat is deeper. Timing and positioning mean a lot more and there's much less grenade spam.

Amazing game. I just wish they brought out more expansions.

Just getting into it. Last physical copy left in Dublin I was all over the city looking. Great Jap game, like metal gear. Loving it so far. Playing it on hard haven't got passed the first boss yet! Played hours.

Picked up Bloodborne again after like six months without playing it. Forgot how satisfying/how big a relief it was to see a boss finally dying (Blood starved beast is the latest boss I defeated). Great game and very very atmospheric.

It's a very good interactive movie. It's not a very good game, solely because it isn't really a game (although more of a game than most in its' genre).

Which is actually fine and I don't even mean it in the derogatory sense, but I know several people who have bought that thinking it was an 'adventure' game, when it isn't. It's a very good interactive movie, which I also liked.
I personally really like those sort of games, makes a big change from what I've been used to etc!

I understand it's not to everyones taste, but I love dark stuff like that and it certainly hit the spot!

Don't have a PS but really jealous as dark souls was immense and it's similar I believe

Played it to death when it came out. Quite different to Dark Souls. I remember there were many people left confused and were asking questions online like "Why don't I start with a shield? Why can't I find any shields?". Its much more fluid than the Souls games and the quick side step dodging felt so natural after a while that when Dark Souls 3 came out, it felt too slow and frustrating to play for long. I love the Lovecraftian horror and how every part of the game is just death, death and more death.
Fun fact: a monster which was shown in the game's trailers and thought to be cut out when nobody found it, has finally been found in a Chalice dungeon nearly 4 years after the game came out. (https://kotaku.com/bloodborne-enemy-went-undiscovered-until-2017-1820656029)

More to the point, even if it does come out, why would you want to play it?
Because, IF (and boy oh boy is that a big if) it does ever come out, even if it is only 50% of what they say it will be, then it will be an epic game.

I have always been an Elite fanboy over Wing Commander/Privateer/Freelancer but that doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy the heck out of them when I did play them.

Elite has it's problems too, but in a fraction of the time that Star Citizen has been in development, Elite was funded, gone into Alpha, beta and release, and now its been on general release for almost 3 years. And I still play every week (sometimes more when I am trying to do something)

I backed Star Citizen all those years ago on Kickstarter. I've pretty much written it off but if it does come through I'll be somewhat pleased.
Talking about Space sims, X4 could be a great game. I've been a fan of the X games for 10 years now and although the last entry into the series was genuinely awful, I still find time for X3: Terran Conflict and Albion Prelude. Really great games that I can play for hours and hours. I'd recommend keeping an eye out if they go on sale over Christmas if you've never played them.

Star Citizen will get released, too much money has gone into it for them to not deliver a product. The question is when will it be released and will it deliver on most of the promises.

I have no problems waiting another 2-3 years provided they keep showing progress. Their development is the most transparent out there with all the dev blogs etc.

Been having fun just messing around on the new 3.0 release with planet landings.
