(Ended up writing a little mini-review if anyone cares what the game is like)

I've played about 40 hours now on PC. Done the Campaign in about 7 of those 40 hours. Its not bad, if you like Star Wars you'll like the story.

With regards to multiplayer.... its deceptive. It looks better than it really is. There are tons and tons of scripted events and background action going on and when you take that away, you realise the multiplayer is quite limited. Even ignoring the whole lootcrate fiasco, the actual gameplay is very one dimensional and some maps are so disgusting to play, I now quit the lobby as soon as I notice it.
For example; Kashyyyk as Republic - absolutely no chance of winning the first phase. I have never seen them destroy 1 MTT let alone 2. Hoth is the same.
Takodana, specifically phase 1 is pure dogmuck. 20v20 on a static King of the Hill style mode where each team spawns with a ~3 second run back to the objective. Grenade spam into sprint to cover into hope for the best. Not fun. Due to the nature of the mode where even 1 defender can halt the capture, its very, very hard to win as First Order (Empire), and even if you do, your team will be left with too few tickets to win the next two phases.
Kamino is similar; phase 1 boils down to 1 mid-sized room and two corridors. Which ever team takes the large room first, will likely win and that is usually the defenders.
I feel like the best maps are Starkiller Base (if you can survive the spawn to spawn sniping), and Naboo. Yavin 4 isn't bad, either.

Starfighter Assault is another deceptive mode. There's a whole lot of things on screen but again its mostly scripted events and background/environmental objects. Fun at first but you die so quickly when targeted by a player you spend a considerable amount of time just waiting to respawn. Or, you can just farm the numerous bots. I would have liked it if the players could control the cruisers and destroyers as battlepoint rewards because once again the gameplay is disappointingly one-dimensional and repetitive.

It needs more. IF the pay-to-unlock system never comes back, it still needs some DLC's worth of content (which are rumoured to be free) before it's worth is full-price tag.

One neat game mode is Heroes vs Villains. Feel like the Dark Side is slightly stronger but it plays pretty well and rewards good teamwork.

Sort of. It's going to disappoint an awful lot of people that thing.

If not get people put inside - they are giving people, who have already pledged $1000, the chance to pay another $750 in order to buy a ship, for the game that they are at least 12-18 months away from releasing and which they have spent the last six years developing.

Life Is Strange is brilliant mate.

Different to just about anything I’ve ever played.
Mate.

Life is strange is the closest thing to a 10/10 game I have ever played.

That was absolutely mind blowing. Possibly the best gaming experience I've ever had. Wow.

I feel like an emotional wreck.

is that still not released yet? saying that i've been waiting 5 years for the Xen part of Black Mesa...

And now, not satisfied with selling ships that don't exist for ridiculous amounts of real money, they are now selling the rights to claim land insurance. For real money. In game, on planets that don't exist.

Apparently they need MORE money to continue development.

This game is never coming out is it. More than the $168 million already raised.

This youtuber I occasionally watch on Elite: Dangerous has an amusing take on this. Be warned plenty of swears and euphemisms abound.

More to the point, even if it does come out, why would you want to play it?

It's a very good interactive movie. It's not a very good game, solely because it isn't really a game (although more of a game than most in its' genre).

Which is actually fine and I don't even mean it in the derogatory sense, but I know several people who have bought that thinking it was an 'adventure' game, when it isn't. It's a very good interactive movie, which I also liked.

So, after playing more Battlefront 2 and being sick to death of the two main modes (Galactic Assault and Starfighter Assault) and their terrible maps, I highly suggest anyone playing to try out Strike. Its 8 vs 8 which means individual skill plays a much bigger part and there's no 'farming' like what happens in the main two modes. You never get spawn killed by someone who's spent all game in a fighter, and you never get swept aside by a Hero unit. Spawn points are fixed, with maps just the right size for the player count meaning the combat is deeper. Timing and positioning mean a lot more and there's much less grenade spam.

Nier Automata. OMG.
Amazing game. I just wish they brought out more expansions.
