Computer games.

Got 50 quids worth of Playstation voucher from Christmas still wasnt sure what to get next think you may have found a gem. I have to share the playstation with my son. So have to be very careful what i install. No COD no GTA :( Violence is fine just the swearing the missus kicks off about.

Go with @ijjysmith suggestion and get Horizon mate, it's class. A bit annoying the cutscenes but the game itself is great

New Mass Effect is a giant turd sandwich. For a game with so many cut scenes its ridiculous how terrible the facial animations etc are... How am I meant to get engrossed and immersed in a story when it's so hilariously bad. Gameplay and story is bang average so far as well.

This guy nails it lol

I've just finished Mad Max on PC which I picked up for less than a fiver on CDkeys. I wasn't expecting much but the game was a blast, literally.
The open world setting is beautifully done and actually put me in mind of RDR. The driving and combat is pretty smooth and there is just so much to do.
Best fiver I've spent in donkeys years.
I've just started Mafia 3 but my thoughts are on RDR2 at this point. Really need another trailer or something.

Anyone got that battlefield ps4? got the new COD with it
think its terrible heard people saying they play that now instead
don't really like getting used to new games it looks harder on videos.
isit decent?

I got the new BF for PC and it was ok. Not near as good as the old BF series games.

Out of interest how ong did Mad Max take you?

I had it. Got reasonably far. Traded it in. But recently picked it up again on the cheap as I really liked it.

According to Steam I've put in 79 hours. I never rush through games though so I probably could've done it in half that time.

I got 100% on all the locations (scrap, camps etc), got all the stronghold project parts and cleared all areas of Scrotus threat.

Depends what the lid is into. Horizon doesn't have much in common with FFXV, but that said I can't imagine anyone not at least liking Horizon, as it does have a bit of everything. Even if the story is let down by the writing pitfall of having a flawless main character who can do everything by themselves and is the special one because you have to be the special one obviously. I prefer more blemishes on my protagonists! Mind you, the world itself and the post-apocalyptic lore is top notch. I really enjoyed the slow reveal of what had happened in the past to make everything go so badly wrong.

@RFUS - tried the demo of the that Nier game.

Against all odds i didn't hate it. Reminded me a bit of Devil May Cry but in a different world.

It was a bit button mashy for my liking, but i'm sure that's just me not being very good at these games so pressing everything in the hope of killing somehing.

But yeah, pretty good.

It's not button mashy unless you want it to be. There range of difficulty levels means you can have anything you want really. Turn it up and you need to master evasion and slick combos, turn it down and you can probably mash your way through without a care in the world. There are even chips which will automatically dodge, shoot and attack for you to the point where it nearly plays itself. Which I like, as it means absolutely anyone can enjoy the game and its story regardless of their skill level, and should they want a challenge then believe me it's there.

The interesting bit comes from the mash up with bullet hell games. Dodging bullets and firing back whilst also playing a third person action game is weird at first but so fun when you get used to it. Also the animations are incredible for the combos.

Just so slick. My favourites are using a spear and greatsword, and she'll pirouette around the spear and lob the sword. Or I think small sword+bracers (like boxing gloves) and she'll hit the bracers like she's playing baseball. The detail Platinum have gone into with the various combos is astounding, but then this is the studio that made Bayonetta.
