Computer games.

Saw the PS4 VR being shown in Best Buy. Some fella trying to play a game where he's in the passenger seat some motorbikes attack and an uzi ends up on the dash. Looked absolute junk. Like VR from the 80s, low res disembodied hands and clumsy controls.

Just found screens of one of my best FM seasons ever.

279.99 for nintendo switch, seems expensive?

Is this going to be one of them where initial demand outstrips supply though, so if you pre-order you can sell it for a profit? You know how stupid people are when their kids want the latest thing.

Also if you want a Pro controller, that looks like an Xbox one, £64.99.

Switch will flop badly in the UK at least - the cost of games is a good 1/3 higher than they should be. They don't have the killer line-up on launch or immediately incoming to justify the £60 per game price tag.

Which is annoying as I was looking forward to it. I expected £300 console price, £40 per game, and a good 2-3 more exciting launch titles. As it stands, won't be picking one up for a long time.

I agree. I was intrigued by it. But they seem to be going about it not quite right.

Funny you mentioning the price of games. I've been watching a lot of old Gamesmaster episodes recently. Love the reviews section.

Donkey Kong Country (ace by the way). £60!!!! Even then.

Game prices have always been a bit nuts haven't they?

Was well worse back in the day - £60 each for Theme Park and FIFA on the Mega Drive one Christmas, mum must have been crying as she handed over the money haha

I'd understand it if this was a premium console from a company with a track record of success in the premium gaming sphere in recent years, but they flopped big on the WiiU, went for the casual market with the Wii and you arguably have to look back as far as the N64 for the last time they had a competitive premium system.

It seems they've done the hard work well - designing a system that has captured the imagination of lots of different people - and then they've gone and Nintendo'd it at the very last hurdle. The main concern people had was a lack of third party support and not enough titles released; so they go and launch with no third party games and basically one game total. Well done.

They've got no chance if they're gonna charge that much for the games.
