I still don't know what to make of it tbh, is there a story line of sorts? F1 2016 is next on my list which should give me time to see the initial reception... are you getting it?

Replying to myself I know but this Rebel Galaxy had promise but seems to be losing me in that you only fly on a single plane and can't pitch up or down. Doesn't really feel like the freedom should should have in a space sim.

Yep have pre-ordered it - like Sy says i'm not sure how much story there is to it - i just want to discover new planets and name them after vaguely rude things

Yep have pre-ordered it - like Sy says i'm not sure how much story there is to it - i just want to discover new planets and name them after vaguely rude things

Don't think there's any storyline, the 'goal' is to get to the centre of the galaxy.

But with bajillions of planets to explore and aliens to trade with/shoot in the face there should be loads to do.

They announced their day 1 patch, yesterday. Tons of changes, so all the leaked copies that have been streamed are not representative of the game on launch day.

Further updates will be adding base building and the ability to own some of the super large ships.

I am stoked for this! I doubt the space combat will be as good as Elite: Dangerous, but this is adding a whole lot more 'other game' to it.

Like I said before, this is the 2nd game I have ever pre-ordered.
